Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In an event that allows to use the tech level modifier, i.e under the solo & multiplayer events tab, increase the difficulty and then go to an event that is using real cars (F1 or F2 cars) i.e under the series tab, and you'll see that you are not able to change the modifier as there's no option for it.
What happens when the bug occurs? Tech level modifier affects real car performance (F1 and F2) and not just F1 World cars with no option to change it.
What do you expect to see? Not affecting the spec cars in F2 nor "real" F1 cars, or being able to change the modifier in these races as well.
As can be seen in the image series below, if changing the tech level multiplier in the "solo & multiplayer events"-tab, you inadvertently change it for the "series" tab as well, without the ability to change it back. This makes the F2 races pretty much impossible to complete since the AI drivers have way higher straight line speed than the player car.
To lower it, the player needs to go into an event in the "solo & multiplayer events"-tab and lower it and then go back to the series tab which is far from ideal.
Regarding the difficulty itself, it's still not anywhere close enough to even challenging when driving a maxed out F1 World car, but at the same time IMPOSSIBLE if driving a "real" F1 car, or F2 car..
This is the result from me running the weekly bonus event for licence A holders in the solo & multiplayer events tab with +150 modifier, pulling a 40 seconds gap, in five laps, with mediocre pace at best. Can't imagine how boring this must be for even faster drivers. It's clear that Codemasters haven't tested their new "balancing" with end-game/maxed vehicles, or even considered the real performance vehicles with this patch.
