It is likely your save game is corrupt and unretrievable. 

Continuing without your current save may be the only way forward.

@EA_Barry The game won’t actually allow me to enable autosaves and so even if I do play without my original save, I can’t play with any save because it will not, in fact, allow me to save the game. So every time I load the game up is like starting all over again. Even on a new save it’s mainly fine cause it keeps all my items and just resets my race saves and that, but it’s annoying to have to go through all the tutorials and that every time. The game says that there is a remote storage error when I try to enable autosave which I took to mean that it’s having problems saving to my steam cloud, but the problem still occurred even after I turned off the saving to the cloud feature. The game feels practically unplayable because all my settings get reset whenever I close down the game.
