@CANbus_nz Settings > On-Screen Display > top option, On-Screen Display, set to OFF. I recently started playing in cockpit myself and I did that. Only thing is I don't think you'll be able to see the Delta during a Safety Car, unless it's displayed on the wheel, I haven't had one yet while in cockpit mode.
It doesn’t display SC delta - had one recently and I only drive cockpit. The wheel screen is so underused - the ERS graphic is better than 22 but uses more screen then it needs. There’s also the 4 squares used in F1 World mode for enhancements but unused in other modes. Could easily add SC delta to one of those.
However the wheel screen has some bw issues in performance mode - the lap time gets a bit fuzzy - so there may be other constraints in the rendering
