Experienced this in our last league race, also in a recreated private lobby right after.
Crossplay enabled, PC host, host driving.
Drivers who missed their grid box were disqualified from the session.

Well after a long time working it now also happened with us when we had our league race in Qatar. A driver was host, and disqualified cars in the formation lap were also DSQ'd in the race. Every player was playing via Steam. So not even everyone playing on the same platform prevents this.
