@P4st3l1akIn an interview somewhere Lee Maher mentioned F1 manager got a lot of ideas from the F1 games. Or something similar. 🤷🏻♂️
But it would benefit these games more if they took a lot of ideas from F1 Manager. I don’t want hardcore Career management modes. But I’m sure there is alot in manager that would elevate careerIf there’s 1 person who I will NEVER believe a word he says it Lee Mather. That man has told so many lies and farytales, and never learns.

But I’m sure there is alot in manager that would elevate careerIts not even that they need to look at different games to get ideas.. for several years quite a few community members have suggested a lot of good and well thought out ideas to improve basically all parts of the game, yet its actually astonishing how little of these were picked up on
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@Meza994 Dude obviously your suggestions are king. But I’m not sure I’d trust them to interpret and implement your ideas. I was thinking something alittle more visual that they could actually see work may be better motivation 😂
- Meza9942 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 Not just talking about myself, especially on the old forum there were others with great ideas who put in the effort to visualize things!
Besides i dont think with how they did so far any visualization would help, they didnt have to change anything about spain yet added a bump like why? lol also devs usually dont take ideas 1 = 1 from other games, they feel the need to make it unique even if the other game made it perfect so Codies trying to make a good idea from F1 Manager unique could still end up horrible haha - ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@Meza994 Yep anyone that’s given an existing ip these days seems hellbent on completely ignoring the source material because they think they know better than the end users who have invested years into something they love… cough Star Wars cough.
I have it on good authority that Codemasters have been sent the better and more credible suggestion threads. If they bother to look is another matter. - s00zster2 years agoRising Ace@Meza994 Year upon year I've suggested they bring back localized weather, a technology that existed in F1 2012 and was also used to really great effect in Project Cars 2, made by a studio that Codemasters ended up buying. Yet they apparently didn't utilize any of the skills or technologies Slightly Mad Studios used in their games... except for the clothing rubbish that ruined Project Cars 3 and ended the PC franchise.
It's like Doc Brown's blackboard in Back to the Future 2, the point where 1955 leads off into alternative 1985 and everything's horrible and rubbish and ruled by money. That point right there is the moment someone said "let's not improve the game with all the skills of the studio we just acquired and the suggestions of our hard paying community, let's just stick loads of rubbish in it to make money and ignore everything else".

What's F1 world for addition? I mean, Get better ERS, more downforce for X seconds, WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?
Let me explain this to Codemasters/EA 1 more time:
We want to play FORMULA 1!
We do NOT CARE about supercars
If we want to play with fake boosters, we will play MARIOKART or any other game.
These boosters is just taking a dump on F1. F1 cars are the FASTEST, BEST, and TECHNICALLY MOST ADVANCED on the whole planet. 1000+ BHP out of a 1.6 liter engine! Incredible downforce, and so on.
Who at CM/EA thougth: "let's make it a mariokart F1 game where you can boost your F1 car" I mean... Is it your goal to flip the middle finger to all the engineers in F1 with crap like this?
If you people in stead did listen to your community, you'd be working on a WAY BETTER online experience and not like we're all on dial up connection because let me tell you a secret... It's 2023 and in this timeline and universe we all have at least 100Mbs+ connections, and I'm sorry YOUR pisspoor netcode design can't keep up with that., you'd be playtesting patches, don't screw up the game with each patch, and I can keep going for HOURS.
You people simply do not learn, will not learn. aren't willing to listen to your community, stick your head up your YOUKNOWWHAT, think YOU know it all better what the FANS and COMMUNITY need and don't give 1 flying F what we ACTUALLY WANT AND NEED!
We want a F1 game that REPRESENTS this SPORT in the best way it can be! No fake boosters, no sofa's, no tshirts, NONE OF THAT CRAP! We want cars that are fabulous to drive, a game that looks next gen and not this Qatar pixelfog that looks like a 10 year old made it, F1 is the best sport in the world, and you don't deliver something that comes anywhere NEAR THE BEST. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Take example at Forza Motorsport and GT7, both have:
BETTER GRAPHICS
BETTER SOUND
MORE CARS
MORE TRACKS
BETTER WEATHERMODELS
REALISTIC LOOKING TRACKS
EXAMPLARY HANDLING MODELS
For GT7 i know the FFB is SUPERB
PATCHES THAT ACTUALLY DO MORE GOOD THAN HARM
BETTER ONLINE SYSTEM
BETTER PENALTYSYSTEM WHICH AT LEAST IS MORE FAIR THAN THIS
BETTER REPORTING SYSTEM
BETTER NETCODE
Do I need to keep going or?????
And then there's a lot of nothing, and somewhere down the line comes the F1 series by EA who has the guts to charge people even more money for something that has less quality.
Do the math.
Just give it up, admit that you people are simply unable to build something that can compete with the actual BEST the market has to offer in ALL WAYS, and stop dissapointing en pissing of your community with your disrespectful behaviour and lies.
- SomaticCoast3752 years agoNew Hotshot@Raymond-Smits Who’s this big group? It’s a very small minority of people
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@SomaticCoast375 If I remember correctly. Aarava did a poll a few weeks after game launched asking if people played F1 world. He got about 10000 votes and I think it was around 30% off people said they have played it. Huge amount that hadn’t touched it. I was one of them. But out off the 250 hours I’ve put in the game so far. About 5 of those are in F1 world. I’m willing to bet £1 only half off the 30% at most play it regularly

I also tried it out but abandoned it very quickly. It really feels like a Mario Cart, especially with boosts and 3-5 lap races.
And unless you set up tech level or AI above what games sets up, not even a challenge.
And why would I want to collect stickers? Also, I got so many duplicates is it's off-putting anyway.
