Help me with Miami S1 (With Video)

I'm losing tons of time against the AI (95) in the first sector. I have posted a video, against my better judgement because I'm not perfect. I messed up the first turn but I'd like to know where in the first sector I'm losing time.

95 AI with autogears, corners only, and low TC (playing on controller).

  • @Nylink Change FOV to -10 to -20. Be able to hit your marks so much easier when flying through twisty sections. Increase steering rate to 160 and increase steering linearity to 2.

Thanks for the video. It’s much better to advise if seeing others driving.

So, braking into turn 1 seems ok-ish, you can always find a bit of time under braking.

Entry turn 2 is ok, but mid corner is a bit slow, try to be a bit aggressive on throttle there, you lifting too much.

Turn 3, again you need to carry more speed, feel the car, it can hold onto the track.
Turns 4 and 5, try a bit more aggressive and pointy in change of direction while keeping the min speed higher.

I personally use-15 FOV Tv offset.

But it’s not a personal preference I set it there..  I used to use default tv pod.  Then watched Marcels camera settings video.  I gave it a try.  Instant 2 seconds a lap faster across most tracks.  Found time being more precise in mid to fast corners especially esses

Marcel Kiefer uses -10 tv pod

Jarno Opmeer uses -20 tv offset

Otis Lawrence uses -11 tv pod

Lucas Blakey used -7 I believe tv pod

I tried this, it was difficult for me, but I went the completely opposite direction and did +20 lol. I find it better for me and I get to enjoy the graphics more. I did change the controller settings, it helped.

Appreciate the feedback. For some reason I can't hold the speed through turns 4 and 5, I go way off line so I lose a ton more time. It's also very slippery through turns 2 and 3 so I keep losing the rear.

I ended up doing the race, did really poorly in the first sector. I need a lot of practice on this track it seems.

Thanks to you both for the pointers, I will use them.
