Huge perfomance issues on night races

What happens when the bug occurs? During any night race
What do you expect to see? no different perfomance like during day

During any night race, FPS seem to drop massively even on lowest settings. During day my PC is able to produce constant 60FPS on any track, during Benchmark even up to 80FPS. During night I´m playing with 30-37.

My specs:
GTX 1050 Ti
i5-7500
16GB RAM

I suspect it is the fog, that you cant turn off for some reason or lighting was massively changed, which to me doesnt look like it if you compare to last games.

The issue seems to be semi-fixed. Night races now look better and run better. But by running better, I mean the fps still drops to bad levels but nowhere near as bad as it used to be. Mine used to dip to a consistent 30, now dips to 40-45 and stays there. The same visual bugs are also still there, especially the horizon and the rear of the car have serious graphical bugs.
The performance drops as soon as the dusk transition begins and the fog settles in, just like it did pre-patch.

Hello, same here ! 120 fps constant in free practices for Qatar. For the night race, fps drop to 80 fps.
Can you please have a look ?

@HeyImChuckLower the lighting quality setting. They have no interest in fixing this anymore so it's the best solution for night races.

ok i was having the same problem at Bhran track i put post prosesing on high an lighting on high everything else is on medium settings i have a rtx 3060 an the fog thing in front of me went away and its all clear
