Is Ranked just never going to get fixed?

I still try ranked on an off and tbh I dont know why I do lol Trying to progress to Elite is like pulling teeth at this point, firstly theres heavy restrictions on who you can race, secondly lobbies ...

Imagine my surprise on April 1st when I received the following Codemasters emails congratulating me for achieving "Gold II" Rank (from Silver II)

Then I discover I lost both my Gold II Rank and Tier 50 level. Yet other players retained their Rank/Tier statuses.

Yet, here is their ambiguous description of their Ranking System:

Nothing has changed. It was the end of the podium pass season, so everyone got demoted by a full division. And everyone starts a new tier of podium pass.
