(its not comparable to ultimate team imho, i think the upgrade only involve that section and not the whole multiplayer experience + they're not mandatory) PLS keep it hate free (both for the op and game devs... thx)

The "Braking Point" narrative mode returns in F1® 23 with a new and exciting chapter, even more packed with racing and new rivalries.

Konnersport Butler F1 Racing Team

The story focuses on the Konnersport Butler F1® Racing Team, the new fictional stable on the grid, and covers the 2022 and 2023 F1® seasons. Rising star Aiden Jackson clashes with bold and arrogant teammate Devon Butler. When one of their futures is threatened by a personal problem, Callie Mayer, Devon's sister and recent F2® champion, steps in. To bring Callie's story to life, the storytelling team turned to British racing driver Jamie Chadwick and SkySports F1® correspondent Natalie Pinkham. Team manager Casper Akkerman has to mediate team dynamics with family dynamics, and the manipulations of Devon and Callie's father (and main team sponsor, Davidoff Butler). As your point of view switches between characters, the story progresses driven by your choices through gameplay and cinematic footage.

F1® World:

F1® World is the new hub where you'll find a range of daily, weekly and seasonal events and content, with a progression system based on the Technical Level for a personalised tour of Formula 1®.

New events:

Complete new challenges and access competitive single-player races designed to take you through the modes, tracks and experiences of F1® 23. Dominate different tracks, improve your skills behind the wheel, explore F2® content, take part in events with your supercar and more. Single and multiplayer events include various daily, weekly and seasonal events for both solo and multiplayer gamers. From multiplayer Grand Prix to race week celebrations and Time Trial challenges, there's something for everyone, every day of the week.

Technical Level:

Upgrade your F1® World car throughout the season with a new progression system based on Technical Level. Complete challenges, compete online and participate in upgraded events throughout the season to gain upgrades through gameplay and increase your Technical Level, which represents the performance of your F1® World car. As your Technical Level increases, the performance of your car will increase and you will have the opportunity to compete in more challenging events. You will still be able to enter events higher than your Technical Level, but the challenge will obviously be greater. The best players will be able to exceed the limits allowed by their car's Technical Level, but only up to a certain point.

Upgrades:

Get upgrades and experiment in the garage to customise and develop your F1® World car, making it faster and more powerful as you progress. F1® World power-ups are divided into two categories: spare parts and team member upgrades. Spare parts improve the performance of your single-seater. Team members can be upgraded via a contract system with which you can obtain extra 'equipable' items that further enhance performance.

Creation:

A new creation system in F1® World allows you to allocate resources to projects to make various upgrades, as well as producing contracts to equip to receive in-game modifiers, new stickers to collect and add to the Compendium, and more.

Licensing System:

A new licensing system promotes clean racing in F1® World and rewards players who drive in a respectful manner.

Revamped Classified Multiplayer Mode

F1® World introduces a revamped Ranked Multiplayer Mode with a new division-based ranking system, F1® Esports Series, and a new goal system that makes Podium Pass progress more efficient. Play for points, climb the ranks from bronze to elite with weekly promotions, and win prizes and upgrades to apply to the Technical Level.

Compendium:

As you complete the challenges of your F1® World journey, you can remember your progress with the new Compendium, a virtual sticker album celebrating everything to do with Formula 1® past and present. Play the game, get stickers, stick them in the Compendium and complete the pictures for new prizes and rewards.

Gameplay:

New driving model, better racing

For more predictable behaviour on the track, new vehicle physics give F1® cars better traction under braking, acceleration and cornering. Feedback from a real F1® stable has been incorporated into the balance adjustments for aerodynamic grip and tyre grip, leading to a more realistic feel and smoother driving. With improved engine torque and inertia variations, throttle response is more realistic and easier to adjust.

Precision Drive™ controller technology

Race to the limit with more control, precision and dexterity thanks to controller management rewritten from the ground up, offering more edge and precision at crucial moments.
