Need help with fanatec v3 clubsport pedals on f1 23

Just got my new fanatec v3 pedals... previously I had the g29 wheel, im playing on PC

I still use the g29 wheel however I replaced the logitech pedals with these fanatec ones... tried it out a bit, I will definitely need to reprogram my muscle memory a bit, it feels good tho...

Only thing im missing is the throttle rumble is abscent, I have no vibration when my wheels are about to spin, how do I set this up so it works ingame?

    @TigerAlen410The rumble is a gimmicky as far as I know. I think you should have it programmed to go off at a fixed throttle level via Fanatec software, it doesn't read the game telemetry or receive any direct feedback from it. Same goes for the "ABS" rumble.

    Anyway you're better off checking that on Fanatec forums instead of hoping someone with that same gear pops up here. It is popular enough, but we're not seeing that kind of traction (regular players) in this forum.

  • @mariohomoh Thats a bit of a bummer I was hoping f1 23 had it coded inside the game that it gives feedback when the wheels spin etc, that would be extremely useful in order to see when you are on a limit etc

    @TigerAlen410 That's how Fanatec did their pedals, mate. Not on the devs.

    As far as I know, the pedals are by (Fanatec's) design completely oblivious as to what is going on in the game. They're incapable of actively reaction to the FFB because they're basically deaf to it.

    It is still a good set of pedal, and one I considered buying myself for a long time. But every review I recall seeing either glossed over that feature completely or mentioned how lackluster it is - for how weak the rumble is and how much of a passive gimmick it is.

    Then they released their... CSL Elite V2? Dunno, but there's another set of pedals that I would 100% have bought over the V3 any day of the week.

    @TigerAlen410 I have the V3’s and its up to the game dev to use.the rumble motors via the SDK if you have a Fanatec base. ACC does support those but F1 series never has. That said, the rumble is pretty weak and unless you’re driving in socks or bare feet you’d miss it - probably why so few titles have enabled them. BTW there has been FW updates for those - you might check via the Fanatec driver. Also the Fanalab sw might give you additional options for tuning the behavior

    Think you replaced the wrong item. 🙂

    I still use my G923 pedalset with the Fanatec CSL-E. I have "under-utilised" CSL-E LC pedals....(they connect occasionally to update)

    You can consider to use Simhub to trigger the rumble based on what you need, for example wheel slip triggers the rumble.

    The F1 23 Game only triggers it when ABS is on or TC is enabled. Else nothing will trigger the rumble from the game.

    @TigerAlen410not by the game, correct.

    well that would explain why I never noticed it - don’t use ABS or TC. Would be nice to set the behavior independtly but that will likely never happen
