Same here. I always seem to not be getting the correct amount of XP for each completed event. That can be really annoying, especially if the game tells you you have leveled up your Podium Pass, but when you get back to the main hub, it tells you you haven’t leveled up at all.
That be because tech level only applies to F1 world events and not My team or driver career. When they added the tech level adjustment to F1 world. Someone may have made tech level XP visible in my team by accident. It’s just a minor visual bug. If you go to F1 world and reduce tech level to zero in difficulty settings. You shouldn’t see it being displayed in career modes.

The issue actually persists in F1 World as well. I have sent you images of me completing 2 events in F1 World, with the Podium Pass progress showcasing how much XP I got, and how much I actually have.

And here's the 4th one. Somehow it only uploaded 3 instead of 4 on my first try of sending.

@ScarDuck14
I noticed that too, mate and I also agree with you, but still the math is wrong and the numbers are not always adding up (career or F1 World), as @KF2ZedHunter said..
Something similar also occurs from time to time with the Resource Points in career mode and the math after all 3 FP sessions is sometimes wrong.
Another issue with Resource Points happened to me a few times already and that's when you shoud receive the Weekly Resources, which is some money + Resource Points each MyTeam week and the game simply did NOT give me the Resource Points - I got the money, but not the RP - and I have that in video:
As you can see, I had Weekly Resources scheduled for October 16th and then again for October 23rd.
I stop the clock on the 16th - and then again on the 23rd.
On the 16th, I get both the money and the RP (320) just fine - you can see that by my total RP before and after each time I stop the clock:

But on the 23rd, I get only the money and for whatever crazy reason, the game just did NOT give me the RP (which at that point, I was really counting on, so I could develop another important Chassis car part):

It clearly shows the 320 RP being 'given' on the 23rd, but they just don't add up to my previous amount, which remains the same and then I notice that and complain about it at the end of the clip.
Anyway..
Not the first (and probably not the last) time that happens and can be a big problem to the team, when you're counting on every little RP to develop your car and if you don't have enough, you need to wait another whole in-game week to do it and then the other teams will develop their cars more than you, bla bla bla.. Anyway.. just super annoying and it affects (negatively) your progression in a big way..- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@SexyBrigadeiro Yeah I’ve noticed you don’t get your first weekly resource points at start off season. I think it’s done on purpose with the hope no one notices. Because it’s funny how so many times I can’t to do R&D upgrade because I’m just a few points short: I honestly think rather than properly reworking the R&D upgrades so it takes longer to max out car. They took the easy cheating option and fiddled with how many points we receive.

I tend to believe that was not intended..
I mean.. any player can count and it's not hard to notice when the numbers don't add up, so I don't think they did it that way on purpose.
Still it's just super annoying (and wrong/unfair, etc) that you don't get the RP you were supposed to and was counting on - the AIs keep developing their cars just fine, meaning they are getting their RPs, but the player sometimes isn't.. I mean.. come on, game!!..
I love playing against the AIs, but it's amazing how the game 'cheats' to give them advantages in lots of different ways..
There's this RP issue and the fact that it seems the AIs ALWAYS have more RPs than the player and every time we develop our car, they develop theirs too (so it's pretty hard to 'out-develop' them, maybe except when the Regulations change in some seasons and you're able to save some RPs and car parts, so you don't lose them, while the AIs do and then you finally out-develop them)..
But there's also all of that 'adaptive driving' BS, where the game gives the AIs the ability to 'break the laws of physics' whenever is convenient to them and so they magically get super acceleration, super top speed, super breaking, super grip, super laps, etc and they do things that are literally impossible for the human driver to do (without going off the track or crashing) - I mean.. I don't mind the challenge and I like to race against AIs that are just as quick as I am, but it sucks when you put a LOT of efforts (and skill) do try a hard move to pass them and they simply cheat to stay ahead of you, no matter what you do, or how well or fast you can drive.. - if I feel the AIs are too easy to beat, I can simply increase their level, but I don't like them 'adapting' on demand, literally ignoring the game's laws of physics and doing things that are impossible for the player to do just to stay ahead of us..
Anyway, sorry for kinda going off topic here, but once again it just sucks to feel you get 'cheated' all of the time by the game..
They steal XPs from you.. RPs.. the AI 'bend' the laws of physics.. - the game is great, but so is the amount of BS in it..
