@SteveJackson Problem solved.
Instead of HUAWEI mobile router or Moto G cell phone tethering connection, I plugged iPhone in and used USB tethering. Now the game runs properly and is connected to the online services, using the same mobile network and sim card as before.

Do we have an explanation for that matter?

    It seems clear that the Huawei mobile router or the Moto G restrict the connection in some way or the computer does not trust either the device or connection via those methods.

    I don’t know what the explanation is, but it is clear that the SIM and telco network is handling your data without restriction. 

    Could be which devices are updated or on support. 

    There have been many iPhone models

    There have been many Moto G handsets

    The Huawei router, was it supplied recently by your mobile telco?
