Hi, adding my log.

I have been able to play the game with no issues on Windowed mode, even at the highest resolution my monitor can handle. As soon as I maximize the screen, it crashes.

Mainboard name not in the dxdiag thanks, please confirm.

Also, your resolution in-game is set higher than native, try deleting the hardware_settings_config.xml

Downgrade the resolution to 4K (3840x2160) not Super Wide 4K (5160x2160) with the in-game settings. Choose Fullscreen.

Steam wiill let you switch to a window using ALT-ENTER then you can ALT-TAB without issue.

I believe the game uses FSE though I haven't had any confirmation from CM/EA.

I tried playing at a lower res (can only do 3840x1080 below 5120x1440) and it still crashes. I can play certain modes at full 5120x1440 like time trial and F1 World- funny enough when I let the game intro footage play; if I try to skip it, it crashes.

F1 career so far crashes windowed or full screen, any resolution.

I even tried new RAM sticks but no changes in the outcome.

I also disabled all optimization options in the Bios.

other than waiting for a patch, anyone has more ideas?

I don't understand what you mean. You can "load optimised defaults", you can't disable optimisations.

You don't need to swap out RAM, just test what you have and run it at XMP. It should all be the same brand and density and in the correct slots as specified by the manual.

Single DIMM, dual channel DIMMs or banked DIMMs (1, 2 or 4 sticks). You can run Memtest on a single stick for testing. Even 1 error is no good.

Try HWiNFO it will list your RAM.

It is important to ensure everything in the UEFI is correctly configured. Defaults are usually fine and configure what you know you need. If you have ever updated the UEFI, then you should load and save optimised defaults.

You can set XMP and Resize BAR, you should enable Virtualisation and the fTPM. Provided you are using a MCT for Windows, it will not bypass the requirements.

AMD Chipset drivers are a good base, then the Nvidia GPU drivers but you should setup Windows with the internet disconnected until you get at least these basics installed.

Sorry, I meant all expo are set to Auto. I swapped both RAM sticks as the first set was not on the QVL. I just wanted to discard as many variables as possible.

I’ll need to work on these:

    thanks
