I experienced the same audio bug again, this time during a 100% race on PS5. All audio completely cut out.
The mid-session save workaround works on this platform as well.

I got the same issue on PS5 again today.
I can now guarantee with a recording that it is an in-game issue, as the sound came back during the replay and went away again after passing the same point where the sound initially stopped during the race. This proves that it is the game that stops generating the sound effects at some point during the race because of some sort of bug.
Hopefully this can get looked into, as it's confirmed to be a recurring bug on multiple platforms. Thanks!

The same sound bug occurred again for me on PS5. This time during a Portimao 100% race.
Using a flashback didn't seem to solve the issue. Using a mid-session save and restarting the game did work for me to eventually get all the game sound back.
Is anybody else experiencing similar audio issues?
I'd love to know how I can prevent this bug from happening again, as it's become quite a regular occurrence for me. Thanks!
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@BeatdownRacing I solved it by changing engineer audio from default to controller speaker.
- BeatdownRacing2 years agoSeasoned Adventurer@ScarDuck14 That made the issue go away for you? Interesting! It won't be a solution for me, sadly. Sending the engineer audio through the controller speaker won't record the engineer audio in my races anymore. So I have to keep sending that audio through the default speakers.

I experienced another instance of this same audio bug where all game sound disappeared again!!
I was doing a Bahrain 100% race on PS5 post patch 1.17 without any problems for 53 laps, but on Lap 54 all sound cut out for the nth time in this game.
I'm hoping this issue is currently being picked up by the developers, because playing F1 23 is becoming close to impossible like this...
If there's a need for me to upload or share footage of this bug, let me know. Thanks!

I've noticed this no-sound bug seems to consistently happen while running F1 23 for multiple hours without restarting the software (both on console and on PC).
I've had it happen again recently while doing a sprint race as well as the consecutive Grand Prix (both 100% race distance) in one go.
My guess is this issue is underreported because not many people play for this long in one sitting. This obviously doesn't mean the issue isn't there.
Will keep reporting if I find more specific triggers of this bug.
Same problem here
Playing F123 , career mode on Xbox series S and at around lap 26 of the Bahrain GP I lost all sound
I continued playing , won the race , during ceremony only the F1 music came into life and then silence again
The problem continues to the next race if I don’t restart the console

Snooze / rest not recommended on consoles. Shutdown and restart is a thing. @ScarDuck14 will attest to this on PS5 and he doesn't seem to have the majority of issues reported on that platform.
On PC, I disable the 'Fast Shutdown' option and again don't seem to have the majority of issues that other people have.
Less of a bug with the game and a more inherent bug of the console snooze / rest mode being similar to a suspended PC that isn't really shut down.
