Please specify your platform model. Microsoft Xbox Series X
Summarize your bug As per usual the LED lights and OLED screen on Fanatec wheels are not working for Xbox users.
What is your 16 digit Report Code?
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider?
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Multiplayer
Did you have cross-play enabled? Yes
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Turn on an Xbox and then turn on your Fanatec wheel and no lights will work during gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? The lights don’t work
What do you expect to see? Working lights like on PS5 or PC

Very simple post here but it needs to be said so it gets marked down but the LED and OLED lights on Fanatec wheels are still not working for Xbox users.

Please ensure you have checked and updated the Fanatec wheelbase and rim firmware (as required) on a PC. Firmware updates are applicable to console users (XB/PS) as well.

Post back with details of the firmware you are running and the devices. My updated CSL-E 1.1 works fine on PC. I don't have the issue that CSW users are having, but none of them have really posted details of firmware or rim either. Fanatec pedals must be connected via USB to update those and RJ-12 must be disconnected when using USB.

@SteveJackson It’s an Xbox issue my friend has the game on Oc and Xbox and when he uses pc they work fine along with being able to use all the buttons separately (no duplicates) but yet when he uses the same setup on Xbox the lights don’t work and a lot of the extra buttons are duplicate.

As long as he's updated the Fanatec, then that's all I'm pointing out. Sometimes, console users don't realise they need to update and the console doesn't offer a way of doing it.

Sometimes the mappings for wheels are different on certain wheelbases or certain rims don't have the same functionality due to wheelbase modes (where applicable).

But there is no detail from you except Fanatec (driver, rim, wheelbase). I don't have an XBox to connect my setup to see if mine works.

Maybe your friend could post the bug?

A lot of Fanatec wheel rim features such as Rev LEDs, and extra switches, knobs etc do not work on XBOX: Link

This has been the case for years unfortunately, and there doesn’t seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel.

Fanatec say it’s all to do with the extra inputs/outputs not being supported - apparently only standard controller inputs/outputs can be supported on XBOX peripherals, despite other wheel manufacturers being able to achieve this. Whether the issue is on the Fanatec or XBOX side, no one is really able to tell - both companies tend to point to one another.

Bottom line: DO NOT buy Fanatec gear if you plan to use it solely on XBOX. Similar issues do not exist on PC or PlayStation.

I know PC has no issues and as a ex-XBOX owner (for this very reason), I can personally confirm no issues on PlayStation with all the extra gizmos on my formula v2 wheel, unlike XBOX.

For whatever it's worth, it's the same for Logitech wheels on Xbox consoles. Same reasons provided by @Monzstar83.

Xbox has a limited number of inputs enabled for peripherals. Logitech actually can bypass that with their Trueforce api if devs have it enabled on their games, making so that RPM lights and extra buttons communicate via Trueforce on top of whatever standard input api Xbox has. I wasn't aware that Thrustmaster has a way to bypass that limitation as well.
