Re: Voice control unavailable f1 23

PC does support voice control, I was using it as of last week, till I had to reinstall windows and now can't use it anymore.

Further troubleshoot might be required for OP.

EDIT: The following fixed it for me.

  1. Uninstall all Speech and Kinect Packages.
  2. Download and Install Kinect for Windows Runtime 2.0 from Microsoft's website.
  3. Install x64_SpeechPlatformRuntime from the Installers folder in your game directory.
  4. Install your required Kinect Language Pack from the same folder.

@nohackerinolulul Might wanna try these steps to resolve.

    I can CONFIRM that what @MicrosoftPPBizon said WORKS!

    I followed it, step by step, exactly as explained and it worked like a charm!

    Here's what happened to me:

    I was playing this game on a PC (through Steam) on a Windows 10 OS until a couple of days ago - the voice commands were all working just fine.

    Now I've just installed Windows 11 and the voice commands were NOT working anymore and at the game loading screen I was getting the "Voice Control Unavailable" message - in game I would press the radio button (to talk to Jeff) and nothing would happen.

    So, as I said above, I simply followed @MicrosoftPPBizon instructions to the letter and my voice commands were working just fine again, as they were on Windows 10 until a couple of days ago - YAY (and thanks, my friend)!

    @SexyBrigadeiro Have to hold my hands up and say I know little about PC. But I do know PC is software/hardware constantly improving so I’m guessing PC can now use voice. Whereas consoles are still waiting on Sony/MS

    I don't know, mate..

    I was able to use voice control (on PC) since day 1 when I installed the game a few months ago.

    The issue only happened to me when I switched from Windows 10 to Windows 11 - it was working fine on W10, but not on W11 - and as I said, I just followed those instructions to the letter and fixed the issue - now voice control is working just fine again, this time on Windows 11.

    In my case, I don't know anything about consoles and why it's not working for you, or everyone in them - I can only hope there's a solution for people on console too.

    At least here, there's a solution for PC users, so that's 50% good, I guess - lol

    Can you give me the "installers" folder in some kind of online sharing platform please?

    You don't need it.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\F1 23\installers

    Windows 11 upgrades aren't cool. They majorly eff with drivers.

    Clean install - every time. Test your disaster recovery! 😇

    I had issues with Intel GPU drivers being retrograded and AMD GPU being Inboxed. 

    Get everything downloaded fresh and issues will disappear. 23H2 was an enablement upgrade, that was fine.
