So, it's race week in Japan yet Japan isn't included in the 3 track we get to race on..but we do get China again after having it last week. Auto return to track is still enabled as well. And yall...
Yeah, I'm good making these post here. Don't like it, don't read it. If they don't want me to post these sorts of things they can easily address these concerns. It's been since the game released and it's been nothing but silence in regards to Ranked lobbies. The truth is the truth.
Hey there,
Criticism is more than welcome on our boards. We always support communication and are not here to hear only good comments but also to learn from your feedback. However, saying that things "suck" or they are a "joke" without further explanation doesn't help anyone.
I recommend that when you share your feedback with us you do it constructively. It is completely fine if you don't like something and it is okay to communicate it here on our boards. However, take into account that I, as CM, will share this feedback with the Game Team, and if it is not constructive, it will just get ignored.

I'll take you up on your offer of constructive criticism. Please show me where in the EULA or F1 23 game tips, help, rules, etc it states why a player's Rank and Tier achievements would be reset. After 250 hrs of playing cross-platform multiplayer, I achieved "Gold-II" Rank and Tier 50 level achievements. I sign into the game on April 1st only to find my Rank and Tier achievements reset to beginner level. Yet I saw other players retain their Rank and Tier levels. What's even more ironic, I received an in-game email (follows) from Codemasters on April 1st congratulating me on achieving on my "Gold-II" Rank. I thought it was some twisted April Fools Day joke. It was not a joke and I'm pursuing other options outside of EA Help to have my case resolved amicably.
However, I quickly discovered it was no joke and learned how uneducated some of the EA Help Assistants are in regards to Microsoft Windows game platforms (Microsoft Store, Steam, EA Play) and how game data is stored.
One EA Help Assistant actually instructed me to try uninstall/reinstall F1 23 game to see if that would fix the problem. If you wish, we can discuss my bona fides in a DM. I disagreed with the advisors request, since I know it wouldn't work and waste 2 hrs of my time. I explained to the assistant that F1 23 users achievements are stored on EA's cloud servers. In addition, there is an EA Background Service that runs on Microsoft Windows that synchronizes the data between EA cloud servers and locally stored game data. It is also the same service that checks for any game patches/updates as well. Despite my objections, I backed up my system, reinstalled F1 23 software, signed on with the same reset achievements results as I had expected. He escalated my case, but I discovered it was "Closed", "No Fix" which I found unacceptable.
I reopened my case and attached evidence supporting the issue is not with my system or game installation, but with EA's F1 23 stored game data. The next EA Help Assistant I discussed my case with was even my uneducated than the first about Microsoft Windows. First, he tried to blame me, stating reinstalling the F1 23 app (as per aforementioned EA Help assistant's instructions) was cause of my user data to reset. I responded, stop deflecting blame from EA Help to the customer and provided him with evidence it is an EA issue. This same assistant then requested I perform a Microsoft Windows System Restore to resolve the problem. TBH - I laughed and explained to the EA Help assistant how much risk that requested action would put EA customers apps/data at risk. He disconnected after I cited that such an action could put EA Help at risk of litigation should his requested action result in the loss of a customers critical data/information on their system.
So, who can explain to me why my achievements were reset and other's weren't. Even in the F1 23 game "Division Information" page (see below), it clearly promotes the player Ranking (Division) system as an incentive for players to achieve the "Ultimate Elite" Division. How is this possible when a player's Rank/Tier achievements are reset?
Why would I read a 6 month old thread when the game has been updated/patched? My question to why many players retained their Rank/Tier ratings while other players was never answered. I did get a response from one of the EA_xx regarding my post. I must say, their opinion is that gamers are naive. EA_xx actually stated (paraphrasing) "Most gamers are used to having their achievements reset at the end of a season". I'd love for EA_xx to backup his statement with facts on which gaming software resets a gamer's (user) achievements. The only exception that would be acceptable would be releasing a new product. EA_xx, since you're knowledgeable on computer/console gaming, please provide a differential analysis between EA's F1 and Microsoft's Halo games and user achievements.
Lastly, EA/Codemasters policies consider "Some animals to be more important than others" ~ George Orwell. Poor business model for gaming software. On another note, I'll be posting a response on how their "FIA Rules" feature is completely defective, but that is a discussion for another thread.
@AgentMlB I shared that thread because the rules regarding ranked promotion/demotion haven't changed. I have never seen any players retain there ranked at the end of a season, until this week when 2 have stayed in elite. Which has been reported to Codemasters, and hopefully they will sort it out quickly.
@AgentMlB The way some can retain their rank is if they get promoted in the last week of a podium pass season. For example, if a player gets promoted from gold to elite in the last week, they won't get to race in elite, but will get the email saying they were promoted. But will also get the email saying they were demoted to gold, so it looks like they have retained their rank.

Thanks for the response, correct me if I'm wrong,. Based on your explanation, there isn't any incentive for players to participate in the game if heir achievements are reset at the end of a "Podium Pass Season". It doesn't mention on the EA F1 2023 "Ranking System" information page anything about resetting every player's Rank at the end of a season. The only exception stated was non-participation could result in demotion (not reset).
This would explain why so few players are currently participating in online races. In my Rank Group there are only 4 of 100 active. That was same thing prior to April 1st. The only difference was that there was another player competing against me for the "Gold-II Rank".. As show below, there is only 54 days remaining in the current "Podium Pass Season". Which I assume is due to the upcoming June 1st launch of F1 24.
So what are the incentives for any player to participate or even purchase the game only to have their achievements reset every season?
What was the response by players to this issue from previous releases of this game (ie: F1_22)?
I don't know about Halo as I have never played, but I can talk about EA SPORTS FC™ 24 or Apex Legends wich have the same demotion system. Maybe you are not going to accept those because they are EA games. That's fine. Some games (I wouldn't be able to mention all as they are hundreds) that reset the players' ranks after each season:
League of Legends
Hearthstone
Marvel Snap
Valorant
Fortnite
Destiny 2
Modern Warfare 3
Mortal Kombat 1
Overwatch 1 & 2
Wild Rift
.... I hope those examples are enough. In addition, as far as I know, all players get their rank reset after the Season ends. If the rank doesn't reset, that is a bug that must be addressed, so if you have proof of that I would appreciate it if you share it with us so I can send it to Codemasters to investigate as I did here.
Finally, this is the last time I answer about this situation as it derails the original topic posted by @FionnlaghM .
