@Gianlubisc8Have you checked PS4 in controller calibration? Just incase either brake is slightly on by a few percent. Or accelerator is registering 100% when fully pressed.
From my own experience with PS4 controllers(I’m heavy handed and would brake one every 3-4 months) is is the springs in triggers would weaken to the point a trigger would constantly register ever so slightly. Thinking if brake especially is slightly registering. When checking triggers give controller a shake to be sure
That’s all I have. If it was an issue with last gen consoles cars being slower there would be tons of posts related to it. As it would be glaringly obvious to PS4 players when racing with crossplay enabled plus on time trial rankings
If it’s not that then im at a loss
I would second @ScarDuck14 theory on the controller, I had the happen to me once where the throttle would basically only go 90% open.
thankfully Sony upped the QC on PS5 but i went through so many PS4 controllers 😞
