Strange Speed Trap Results

New to F1 2023, though have completed multiple seasons of My Team in 2021 and 2022.

Old player, still learning with a G920 setup, difficulty set rather low at 50.

After going thru the My Team career setup, my car was rated at around the middle of the pack. Yet, during Practice Sessions, using a generally stable setup, my Speed Trap result is always 20-30 mph higher than the other drivers when looking at them as they are on the track. That's very confusing to say the least. Am I interpreting something incorrectly?

    @jecunningham128 For some bizarre reason I’ve always had better top speeds in practice compared to qualifying and Race. Ai difficulty will be a lot to do with why you’re so much faster. Every 10 difficulty is around 1 sec per lap faster on average. Plus Ai are slower during practice anyway. I’ve never actually checked whether they use ERS during practice.

    @ScarDuck14 In F1 2021 they randomly used ERS. Don't know if they do in practise this year. I usually think about when I do the Race Programm because I want realistic race pace similulation. If the AI uses ERS I would like to use it in this practise too, like I would do in real Race. If they don't use it, I would avoid using it too. Maybe someone else knows more about it.
    This could probably explain why the AI is much faster in Race (in case of straightline speed), then in Practise. But I have no proven values here. Its just my feeling
