Suzuka

I hate this track. I can't get the swing of it at all. The first two turns mess me up, even when playing with a wheel. I'm not sure why it feels so bad in F1 games to me.

  • @Nylink Although I share in your hate off this track. Must say I do love the first Two corners. It’s what follows I’ve always struggled to dance to. On every race game I’ve every played despite probably tens off thousands off laps.

I like this track (as the most of old tracks), I love the first sector but I must admit I don’t like the finals corners ‘Casio Triangle’ where I struggle the most 😬

  • @Nylink I would blame it on my skills, not the track so that way I can improve more. If anything it's easier on controller for me.

@ScarDuck14 I can't wrap my head around those first two corners, just doesn't work for me. I lift, I brake, I still end up wide lol.

I'm erasing it from my season, the track sucks 🤣

On to Qatar, I love how fast it is.
  • @Nylink Suzuka is indeed one of the few tracks that requires even more precision to get right. My advice for T1-2 is that you need to try to downshift timely to hit the apex of turn 1. So engine braking is quite a powerful tool there, in my opinion. 😉

@Blackbird90 As I use auto gears I tend to tap the brakes just as I enter to drop the revs. Then roll so auto changes down around the apex.

@Nylink try +2/+3 wings F/R to get used to sector 1, once you get comfortable you will work on faster setup

@NylinkNah, don't lift on the first bit.

Set your brake balance to 56-57%, flat out on the first then trail-brake into the second, make sure to be aware the apex is slightly further down because the exit tightens up quite a bit.

It's easy once you've built up enough confidence to get the first bit correctly, this track became a walk in the park with this year's handling model even for pads.
