- 3 years ago@timinator2014 Setting throttle saturation to 28 makes it very close to iRacing's W13. That way I can go back and forth the two sims and feel the cars pretty much the same. F1 23 is still way too understeery, it appears as if downforce has no effect in the front of the car and in slow speed corners it just doesn't bite. Also fixed this by adding a bit of saturation to wheel

Personally speaking, I'm really enjoying it this year. I'm not an alien racer, I'm very average (70 AI with a wheel this year). I've been playing the Codemasters F1 games since 2012 and this is the first time since 2017 that I've been able to race in the rain, on a wheel, without assists and enjoy it. It's not easy, though. Still tensed up, trying not to spin out, but I can do lap after lap and keep the car on the track if I'm careful, much like watching the lads in qualifying at Canada last weekend.
Considering that I haven't been able to experience wet racing like this with a wheel since 2017 (fond memories of a wet to dry race at Melbourne are what comes to mind, a very similar driving experience to F1 23), I think is an indicator of where the blurring between realism, difficulty and enjoyment went wrong afterwards. Remember, people who'd played F1 games and then tried the iRacing Mercedes and couldn't believe how relatively easy it was to drive. And as someone previously in the thread said, realism doesn't necessarily mean harder. For what I've experienced with F1 23, I think it's bang on perfect. Great fun. Please don't change it.
