    Ok, can confirm it's been fixed. Just switched teams and it had my contract expiry date as 28th November, 2 days after Abu Dhabi.

So, even though we are now up to Patch 1.12, the contract bug (at least for the 1st season) remains. I have to go to a new team for the last race of the 1st season and all the other drivers start with their new teams. I am sure this is something which could be easily fixed in the next patch.
