Note: This is based on the trailers, so things might chance however, not likely.It is such a disappointment that the tracks with the most legacy in the history of the sport is still stuck on 10-15 year old track models that are just awful. Looking at the trailer both Spa, Monza, Montreal and Austria (at least turn 1) has not received update to the actual track model, but (in Austrias case) just some exterior and curbs update. The new tracks that have been added to the game in recent years have been so impressive and amazing, that it just makes the old track feel even worse and outdated. How can this not be a priority? I know creating track takes long time and a massive amount of resources but having so outdated tracks is a massive letdown, especially considering its been requested for the better part of a decade. to end on a positive note: the improvements to handling and graphics are very welcomed and its amazing to see that the community feedback came through.

You guys do realise they had to make 2 complete new tracks and even managed to update a few of the tracks?This isn't a couple of modders that can do whatever they want and just release. There is a whole game to be made, licenses to fulfill and so on.Almost every year there are new tracks to be made, and with the way things are going, it doesn't look like is going to end anytime soon.This is an annual release game, some of your expectations are not realistic.I do understand this is hard to comprehend for some.

I think we should not jump on conclusions here, the game it's still work in progress and trailers does not represent FULL GAME. Mercedes model is not accurate in trailers too. Even if they didn't updated every track, i think we should give them a praise because they updated some, it's a step forward and maybe in F1 24 rest of the tracks will be updated. Tbh i don't care about one corner not beying fully accurate, i care about bigger updates like Spain or Singapore and the fact that we have Losail and Las Vegas at launch.

@DannyVomb I agree with the sentiment and the request.Hoped Las Vegas and Losail would get the laser scan treatment instead of photogrammetry now that we are under EA. You don't get to make brand new circuits every year, and these being the first completely under the new company structure had me hoping it would signal a new approach.Bears repeating: photogrammetry can be well made, and is always used even with laser scan tracks to bring the surroundings and even the track itself to life. But when it comes to surface texture, elevation, "resolution" so to speak... There's no beating laser/Lidar.That said, iRacing's Spa still has Bridgestone advertising all over the place. ACC's Spa are from before the gravel traps. They're properly scanned though, and it shows.

it hasn´t unfortunately. Both inside and outside kerbs are still wrong. The inside is almost triangular while in IRL its rounded and the out side sausage is just thin strip with no affect unlike IRl. There´s an onboard shot in the deep dive where it´s shown. It is true that Austria has been updated in some regards but the core track model design is still the old one. at least in turn 1, 4 and 5, just with some updates on the kerb, which to me it´s not a real update, its just a facelift on a fundamentally broken face.

Yeah, agree fully.
I would also much rather drive a correct modelled track with outdated sponsoring and kerbcolor, than wrong modelled track with "up to date" sponsoring and environment. Modern F1 cars on the iRacing Spa is way more immersive than driving these games on Spa, especially since other circuits like Imola or Suzuka is so well made it just enhances the problem with the older track models.

@DannyVomb Imola, Portimao and Zandvoort are all a joy to drive on. And it goes to show how photogrammetry can be well done, as I am not sure the former two were actually laser scanned.

Now laser scan is not the be all end all of racing games.
But there's no beating the levels of fun and pure joy of even hotlapping alone around a laser scan track when you can feel the bumps and the surface getting rough, when you know that that kerb you spit you out of you step on it but will hook you up and help you make it through the corner faster if you mount it properly, or that you can come in hot on that corner because it is cambered in your favor 💕

All these things often fall flat, pun intended, in subpar renditions of the same tracks.

Almost every year there are new tracks to be made, and with the way things are going, it doesn't look like is going to end anytime soon.
