What happens when the bug occurs? Disconnects both me or my friend every time we try and do anything in two player career, can’t even get past fp2 most the time without it kicking one of us and then it won’t work

I Hi all, 

Me and my friend have been trying for months to play two player career mode on PC but after a session like fp1 we get this:

could not update two player career save data because your version of the data doesnt match

we then just can’t play as it does the same over and over, we make new games and it does the same.

we’ve both done a fresh install, checked firewalls and internet things. I’m on steam and my friend is on EAPlay, both on the PC. 

please help as we haven’t been able to play in months
