There is a way around it ill tell you how i did itStep 1 Go to f1 worldStep 2 Go to PLAY then accross to MULTIPLAYER GRAND PRIX then CREATE SESSION once you have done that choose NO OPEN then go to setting and LOBBY OPTIONS from there scroll down to where it says f1 world change to F123 CARS once that is done go to SIMULATION SETTINGS and at the very top Choose where is says equal perfomance OFF then go out and return to your coop game and the equal performace should fingers crossed be disabled..hope this helps worked for me! best wishes

I have been unable to find a fix even trying all the suggested ones. But today I have finally found a fix for me. It’s the usual way from the past couple of years but I had to unfortunately delete the old two player career, but before I started another one, I went to F1 World > Play > Multiplayer Grand Prix > Create > No ( open ) > settings > lobby settings > change the cars from f1 world to 2023 > simulation settings > equal performance OFF Then back out all the way to the main menu and create a new two player career but make sure to skip the invite a friend bit, you can do that after you’ve finished setting up the career. I also turned crossplay off, can’t confirm this mattered but hopefully not as a lot of people are playing cross platform. Silly to have to do but nothing else worked for me till I did this.

ok so this was a thing on f1 2021 at launch too there was a work around so maybe try this Host of the two-player career should go to: Multiplayer > Social Play > Create Custom Game > Choose 'No (Open)' Lobby > Settings > Lobby Options Change car category > F1 2021, then change car performance: realistic Exit to main menu Host loads back to their 2P careereplace 2021 car with 2023 car

Is there an ETA on a fix because if you're a committed two player career player and you bought the champions edition to get it early it's a bit unfortunate

@The_Pozz_Man Just go into f1 world - grand prix multiplayer - create - no (open) then select into settings the f1 23 cars instead of f1 world cars, and last disable equal performance. Go back in career and you'll see no equal performance 😉

Here you have a solution to this problem
As the host of the career mode, go to the Multiplayer section of the game.
Select the Social Play option to create a new session.
Set the lobby settings to "No (Open) Lobby."
In the lobby menu, choose the Multiplayer Event Settings option, and then click on Lobby Options.
Within the lobby options, change the car category to "F1 2023" instead of "F1 World Car."
Go back to the Multiplayer Event Settings menu.
In the Simulation Settings option, locate the Equal Car Performance toggle.
Set the Equal Car Performance toggle to OFF, which will disable the equal performance mode for all cars.
By following these steps, when you create a new session in the Two Player Career mode, you will notice that the equal car performance is disabled, allowing players with the fastest car to have a better chance of winning.

Wait so the fix can’t be done each time you log in to resume the co op career? It only works the first time then it is stuck on equal after you close the app?

Still have this problem, the quick-fix of going into multiplayer also doesn't work. It really hurts the experience, because for me there is no fun in equal performance as you can't upgrade your car to become better and more competitive with the top teams.

I mean i tried it 3 times and it only applies on a new Career i have created and will change back to "equal" everytime the game relaunches.
Havent tested if something changed since then as for me waiting for a new patch to test this.

Hey guys, so my friend and I have tried several times to make it work and we finally found a way. Hopefully it does for you guys as well.
Go to F1 World > Play > Multiplayer Grand Prix
Create a lobby and go to Settings > Lobby settings and choose F1 2023 car. Now go back and go into Simulation settings and choose Equal Performance Off. After this you can quit session.
Now to the important part, you must create a NEW Two player-career to make it work and do all your settings. Do NOT invite your friend until you have the lobby up and running.

Hope this helps guys cause it did for us.
