- yrek1503 years agoNew Scout@Stratty04 I have similar issue, but the game forces me to use tyres from sprint in the feature race. I cannot change it. I reported it but my bug report was just ignored.

Hey @Stratty04,
Thanks for your report. We've sent that to the team to take a look at it.
Did you experience the tyre wear issue in every race or only in certain situations (after a sprint race, after a race you had to DNF)?
Anything that could help us identify when this is happening for you, might help us to reproduce the issue 🙂Thanks!

@EA_rephiiit's probably better explained here:

I haven't tried since the new patch. I will do a race later today. @FizzyVessel74 describes it perfectly, and it is every race if you have the sprint and feature races. You get fuel for practice and qualifying. If you drive more than the fuel gives you, the feature race is ruined. I assume it's mandatory for f2. But I may be wrong.
I'm not an f2 driver, so I dont know.
- Meza9942 years agoSeasoned Ace@ivun3 The amount of fuel they give us in the game is definitely not mandatory, simply because they do more laps in one run in practice and sometimes 5 laps in a row in quali while we only get fuel for 3 ingame..
- IAGOBERNARDES112 years agoSeasoned Hotshotlook, I was doing a run here of 35% and I think I know what happens, I calculated and marked the lap I did in qualifying (complete) of just one lap and the tire was 12% left front 13% right front 10% rear left and 11% rear right in Qualy. I did the Sprint with a new soft tire and at the end of the Sprint Race it was 62% on the front and 59% on the rear and I went to the race, when I put the soft tires on for the feature race they were 53% on the front and 50% on the rear, so I understood that the game adds 40% of damage to the tire after you use it in the Qualy (complete) regardless of how much you saved, if you finished the Qualy with the tires at 25% in the feature race it will appear with 65% spent because the game is putting 40% damage on the tire. now why that i don't know.

Hey @DRudd13,
Thanks for the link to the Bug report. I presume from reading it, the issue might be caused on race weekends with sprint races only, based on being forced on the worn tyres?-rephii

@EA_rephiiYes, it seems to be that they're getting put onto the sprint race tyres in the feature race. But after I have done 4/5 races yesterday, doing only 1 flying lap in qualifying, I don't believe it to be a bug (at least on Xbox) Because you get 2 softs and 2 hards for qualifying, sprint and feature as the practice hard gets returned. You use a set of new softs in the sprint. And your qualifying softs in the feature with your hards. And have a spare hard in case something goes wrong, and you need to pit. So to preserve your qualifying softs as much as possible, you may as well just do 1 flying lap in qualifying. Because if you're hammering them, you will have to use the least worn set in the feature race. But what @IAGOBERNARDES11 (not sure of his platform) is reporting seems odd. Maybe he can shed more light on his problems.
