Getting the same on an RTX 3070. Around 70-100W higher on GPU power in menus.
In an energy crisis and climate crisis rendering a menu should not be using significantly more power than gameplay.
It needs fixed something is clearly not working correctly
I have the same issue. My gpu (3060ti) was running around two times higher in the menus than in the race and it was boosting above it's maximum limit, despite turning v-sync on in the game and locking fps in Nvidia control panel. Something is not right, so i didn't bother anymore and asked for a refund. Maybe i'll buy the game again in the future if they manage solve this issue, but for now i'm done.
