What to buy for F1 2023 - Standard, Champions edition, F1 manager?

The last F1 series I owned was F1 2021 and I have a  Logitech Wheel G920.

I am not a hard core F1 fan, and tune my car based on what I find on various setups posted on the internet.

What I want is an offline competitive racing experience.

I want to get the 2023 but not sure what I need between the Standard vs F1 Champions edition.

All I want is the driving racing experience.

Does the Champions edtion give any extra in in game AI comptetivnes, Tuning guides, Tracks, and Car performance.

I am not interested in the sitckers, driver faces and things that generally are not part of the direct driving experience.

Also what is F1 23 Manager?  What is the benefit of that

If I do get that do I still need to buy F1 23 (standard or champions edition) seperatly.

Champs Editions gives this as extra

    Max Verstappen-designed racing in-game items
4 new My Team Racing Icons
4 Braking Point 2 My Team Icons
Braking Point 2 Customisation items — Casual and race wear in-game items
    F1® World Bumper Pack
18,000 PitCoin virtual currency to spend in-game

The only thing which is probs worth it is the Pitcoins if the liveries and stuff gives you no interest... which is basically a battlepass style system like call of duty/halo/fifa use extra where by playing the game you get extra stuff unlocked.

As for F1 23 Manager... you don't race it's basically a Manager simulation game, so would right that game off if you're looking to be the one doing the racing, so yeah that compared to F1 23 are two completely separate games made by two different companies.

@jack72 Just go with the standard edition. Everything you'll find in the Champions version is just fluff.

F1 23 Manager (and F1 22 Manager) is a whole different game. Different company, different genre, different gameplay. It's like Football Manager, but for F1. You're better off watching a quick review of it on Youtube to get the lay of the land, but it's completely unrelated to EA's F1 franchise.
  • Not much has changed with offline modes. So it’s something you’ll be familiar with from F1 21.  So won’t take long to get into the swing.

Best guides are on line.   In game guides are not good.

If you want a better understanding off Career/Myteam I did one for last years game.  As it’s almost as identical as last year it still stands up. Link below

Biggest difference you’ll encounter is better handling However tyre wear model is more realistic and takes some getting used to

Dude, honestly, I recommend the F1 23 Standard Edition. I bought the Champions pack and the extras that come with it, besides the early release, are just frills. Even though the game is full of bugs, I still consider it better than the manager, even though they have different features, it's much more fun. Basically, the manager is about setting up in training, evolving areas, hiring staff, and managing pace during the race. I follow some YouTubers and find it cool to watch, but I've never had the desire to play. Despite not being perfect, the F1 23 has the most active forum - all in all, it's the most interactive and addictive, unless you prefer being the annoying engineer on the radio bothering the driver, F1 23 is the most recommended!
