I'd like your honest opinion about a modification to the rev limiter I have done (for personal usage) to improve the audio and prevent reaching the rev limiter, at least on gp mode (no idea if it would be enough for a maxed out career/my team car, but surely would improve those as well).Old max rev upshifting 13000 rpm roughly.Old max rev downfshifting roughly 14000 rpm.My modified max rev, both roughly 14000 rpm.Original car video: Original Modified car video: Modified I used Mercedes powered car, because it has short gearing, so the change would be more noticeable.

@TotosHeadphones Doing some my team and, I was just tired to have the engine exploding my ears. So I wanted to see if there is a quick fix, and there is. (of course the Devs would need to do a few more testing eh, I, just for me, can just fix it and not worry about anything)

@Hansenhaus FYI is not possible to go any further because it would mean altering the downshift characteristics. So I went as max as I could without affecting the handling the slightest.I would need to modify every file for every car for every package. I don't think I have the time for that 😅. Plus, I am not sure is wise for me to modify publicly a game I have helped develop for 9 years

@DavidGG53 Excellent mod. The pitch of the engine is a lot more realistic. Watching the Merc qualify in Baku the engine pitch reaches about the equivalent of an "A" musical note. Your mod keeps it very close to that. Without the mod the engine is reaching a half step higher or a "Bb" and then some and sounds like it is going to explode.Seems like all the engines could use this slight downward tunning.Are you going to make this mod available on RaceDepartment?

Yeah, the 2nd one sounds better.The original game sounds like you're trying to blow up the car to me personally.

@DavidGG53I mean, it's better but still I don't like it. You shouldn't be able to reach the limiter not for more than 1s at least. Just watch Monza, Baku in real life, i don't think cars behave like that, not even with slipstream and drs

@DrCarter33 what do you mean? you don't reach the limiter! the limiter is 14k! it is 1k till you get to the limiter. don't get fooled by the leds.

@DavidGG53Yes i was fooled by the LEDs tbh, but I meant the engine sound, it seems like your engine is exploding. For reference have a look at the video in my previous comment.

@DrCarter33 well at 13k it would be very high. that would be a handling changing and we are not talking about changing the handling behaviour tho, just sound. trying to make it sound better without impacting the game.

@DrCarter33 ye I think, taking in consideration upgrades and the drag in the game, the gearing is too short on Merc powered cars. Maybe is realistic, but then surely the real ones are more draggy and definitely don't have my team career upgrades :D
