- mattwells1498529 months agoRising Adventurer@IanM282 They definitely seem way more spread out. Usually at Bahrain, one car clears off and then there's a gaggle of 5-6 cars behind that. Not now. There's a good gap between each car which is what I would call a realistic gap. AI seem to be going for gaps and also they are using ERS a lot better. I may be wrong but having over 250 hours and all of those offline, they have definetly changed something
- IanM2829 months agoSeasoned Ace@mattwells149852 That's good news, a bit of hope and positivity. I'll take a look at it this week 👍
- BulletproofXX869 months agoRising Scout@mattwells149852 The AI has been the same for years, why should it be different now with a patch? The AI is not even mentioned in the patch notes.
That's why I would say Placebo. - AEF2519 months agoSeasoned Ace
I have to agree the AI seems improved. The racing has been great since the patch, mind you small sample size. In light wet the racing seems better to me too.

Yes it feels like that to me too. Still happens not as much though

I haven't tested it fully yet myself, but from the feedback here this seems a positive step. I have to ask though, with the DRS trains being quite a major issue and talking point since the release, why aren't the improvements mentioned in the patch notes? Or can we assume it would come under general improvements?
@IanM282 This is just a theory of mine, but since they already announced that they fixed the trains twice only to miss the mark both times, they did a small adjustment and floated it out there without announcing it to quietly collect feedback. If it didn't do anything or made the problem worse they could roll it back just as quietly, but if it improved things they could leave it in or double down on the adjustment as needed.
just a theory though.
- IanM2829 months agoSeasoned Ace@TheRagebeard Sounds good to me 👍

So had my first heavy rain since the patch in Hungary and while better using full TC I still find it off the pace significantly.
So maybe that part is an illusion. The racing in the dry though seems to be better, but maybe small sample size bias
