@BulletproofXX86 All patch notes end with “various minor bug fixes and stability improvements” …. Some things to do with various game mechanics they don’t make public. Such as scripts and cheats they use to camouflage issues with the Ai behaviour. Also to force events during races to ensure not every race plays out the same. They dropped the ball this year.
All game developers whose games Ai is a core part off gameplay that players interact with have always used scripts and cheats to make the Ai seem more intelligent to players plus activate nerf/buff modifiers in certain situations.
The difference in Ai behaviour could easily be a script buffing and nerfing Ai cars to force the trains apart.
Adding scripts is a cheaper and easier way to ensure the desired effect. Training Ai is time and resource intensive: With no guarantee off the end result. Could end up with the Ai being worse: It’s a very complex thing to change on a game that has been released.

@ScarDuck14 Bro I still miss the AI from GP2 - GP4. They were smart and dumb at the same time, they made mistakes like human. They raced each other and also crashed each other. In CM/EA game AI vs AI is a joke.

We wanted Ai to aggressively race eachother which would result in mistakes and occasional epic multi car shunts ( well I did cause I’m a 48 year old child) So we got that. But what comes with that is Ai don’t care about human feelings and tears: They were bound by code to be bonkers mental and race Ai and humans equally. I’m no tech code guru. But I do understand how game Ai works. One off it’s short comings is that as it’s not human it can’t anticipate how random humans are. So rather than join the chorus off content creators crying about the Ai is stupid because it should have known a mega dive bomb was in bound and moved out of the way: So as I only play single player games. Racing games especially I tend to spend some time watching the Ai. It doesn’t take long to notice patterns it does in certain situations: Then it’s a case off slightly adapting how and when to set them up for a pass without them turning into me. This year however the Ai is boring, weak and stuck in a train
Ai in formula one championship edition was one i liked. But I do remember OG Grand Prix: Every race at Canada the wall off champions would wipe out half the cars during a race.
