AI not affected by Parc Ferme?
I feel the AI isn’t affected by Parc Ferme rules.
Had sprint quali in the wet at COTA. Through the esses at the beginning of the lap and the long triple apex corner I could hardly accelerate because the back end was sliding all over the place, even with the front wing heavily reduced, meanwhile the AI is taking it like it’s dry. On the main straight and the back straight I was pulling nearly half a second with overtake. To me this indicates that the AI had adjusted to really high wings for cornering in the wet quali.
Get into the sprint race and now I’m faster through the esses and the long triple apex but slightly slower down the straights, and like 0.600 of a second slower to a car with DRS when I don’t have it despite using overtake. It seems like the AI was able to reduce their rear wing and suspension settings in Parc Ferme.
The only other reasons for this I can think of are that the AI don’t use overtake in the wet, or the AI get perfect grip at all times. I’m leaning towards the latter as the AI, including my teammate, don’t seem to be affected by tire wear nearly as much as I am.
@tn132Irrelevant what wings the Ai use. Ai pace is most likely hard coded + Ai car and driver rating + difficulty level will depend How fast it is in the dry and in the wet. And not by its setup. They are not governed by the same physics we are.
Been commonly known for years the Ai tyre temps are always at optimal levels. You think that’s the only thing that’s fixed?

As I’ve mentioned elsewhere a few years ago someone posted Ais telemetry. How they got it I don’t know. But it showed all braking, accelerating and steering use micro inputs. We get to chat with devs from handling, Audio and Graphics departments. and deep dive marketing videos. But never has Ai been featured or a AI dev posted to give us information or answer questions.
So yes I’m guessing for most part. But I watched plenty of videos by developers on how they do things such as train Ai and how and what scripts and cheats they use to make it seem more authentic.
Personally I’d like nothing more than a Ai dev to pop up and reply throwing a fist off receipt’s in my face, putting me in firmly my place. But in the years I’ve been on EA and codemasters forums they never have.
