@IanM282 Sorry, I don't know what their plans are. That was a bit of a jab at them on my part since they didn't make any mention of either rolling the changes back or otherwise trying to address the issue in the next patch.
I worded it that way trying to give them a nice segway to come back and say Oops, your right, we did forget to add that (even if they didn't actually forget in the first place...) but it seems like their still undecided about how to move forward which is a bit baffling since they've had what like 3 or 4 weeks to think it over now...
- IanM2826 months agoSeasoned Ace@TheRagebeard No worries thanks for clearing that up. They have to do something though surely. The amount of complaints for almost all controller players is massive.

@TheRagebeard That's the exact reason I made this thread. There's been no mention of pretty much anything for the last several weeks. The issues thread was "updated," but there was literally nothing added to it, even though people keep repeatedly making posts about things not working. Like, I feel bad for the mountain of bugs and issues that the dev team(s) are having to deal with right now, but as a customer, I don't know how I'm supposed to have faith that anything is actually getting worked on when no one will actually communicate outside of, "Please trust us when we tell you the team is aware". We trusted that we would get a complete game that was actually tested before launch, and that clearly didn't happen. So I'm not sure how we are supposed to trust that anything is actually getting worked on when there is no evidence or communication to support it.
But hey, at least those new seasons and challenges are working right? Sure glad we get to play as Zhou while things aren't getting fixed. /s
- 6 months ago
Exactly. All we get is a "trust us". Some issues that were raised in the '23 game are still there and have NEVER been addressed by anyone other than folks guessing in the forums. Like why we auto-return to track enabled in ranked lobbies. Why they decided to effectively make the license level meaningless. Why we can't have voice chat in ranked lobbies. Why there is ghosting in ranked lobbies. Why we can't have better filters for searching for multiplayer lobbies. Ect ect ect ect ect.......
Anywho, still haven't and still won't buy this game until they step up.
- 6 months ago@FionnlaghM Fixes are few and comes too seldom. I think they have added only 2 fixes on the ”awaiting patch” list in a month. That’s subpar.
They need to pick up the pace! Still no rain in two player career and still no safety cars.
And as you said, some things, like the no-rain-bug, was in F1 23 as well and never got fixed…Outrageous! - seichrotierer6 months agoSeasoned Adventurer
In fact, I don't think a single developer there is working on fixing bugs. The money is in. All the resources are either going into (annoying but promised) content enhancements for F124, already into F125 or completely different projects. I don't want to say that no developer even looks at a bug anymore, but only when it suits them. That's why the bug fixing rate is underground (just compare to some other titles with way smaller, but dedicated teams) and even no-brain bugs are not fixed - even since several versions of F1 games.
tl;dr:
There is simply no one there to fix bugs. - Cpayne326 months agoHero
@seichrotiererThere are 2 different teams from how I understand the setup. One team is working on F1 25 and the other focusing on 24. As there are a lot of bugs this year i very much imagine the games team are overwhelmed hence why updates are few and far between.
The game is not in the best place atm and i share frustrations but i have faith they will fix as many bugs as possible - 6 months ago@Cpayne32 Now if only your faith would fix all the bugs, then I’d be a happy camper.
Overwhelmed? Well, be that as it may, but that’s not a logical reason for not putting more effort into fixing things. I assume they’re not working on fixing all the bugs simultaneously… - seichrotierer6 months agoSeasoned Adventurer
@Cpayne32 Sorry but I do not think they tell you the full truth but only what they want to get communicated.
There sure will be a team for F124, but they will focus on the content (challenges and stuff).
If there are so many bugs (there are!), there is a LOT of opportunity to fix at least SOMETHING and to quickly fill the release notes, Hell, they did not even fix no-brain bugs since F123 (and before!)! Look at the long lists of fixes in release notes of DCS World, AMS2 and many others. Many of them are minor problems that are quickly fixed without inflicting complications. But in the F1 series not even those get fixed. I could understand if they say: "there is this super game breaking bug (controller handling?) which needs to be addressed with high priority". But even then there should be at least a single person there who takes care of the rest. So maybe there is a "team" but then this "team" seems to have fewer that 2 devs.
So either there is no bug fixing team at all (which I guess) or they are just not up to the task.
@seichrotiererCouldn't have said it better myself. While this "team" is working on absolutely unnecessary changes (like tweaking controller handling and adding more branded clothes to the shop), they are neglecting a bunch of minor but very annoying bugs that could be easily fixed. It's a joke...
- Cpayne326 months agoHero@seichrotierer Well from the conversations i have with the CM’s they are passing what they can to the games team and and constantly trying to get feedback so that it can be passed on
- seichrotierer6 months agoSeasoned Adventurer
@Cpayne32 So you are not able to directly talk to any devs. Or are you? Do you notice something?
OK, then where is the feedback that they are "constantly trying to get"? Where are the fixes?
There is no longer any excuse for not correcting errors that have partially been known for years. They charge money for a AAA title, deliver B (at most, because let's not forget it's been more or less the same game since many releases) and post-release support is C.
They let us starve on their outstretched arm, implement some placebo champions to calm our minds. Nobody from CM, let alone EA, stands up to the headwind and makes an authoritative statement. The champions (whose voluntary work I really appreciate) take all the trouble, but can only influence things to a limited extent, if at all. And they don't even get paid for it! A great strategy from a company's point of view.
This has to stop!
- Cpayne326 months agoHero
I don’t have contact with the devs no. Im really hoping that the drop in sales alongside the concurrent player drop is a wake up call though.
- seichrotierer6 months agoSeasoned Adventurer
I would like to add: the work of the Champions in this forum is not “placebo”! They really have a lot of knowledge and insight in many areas that they pass on to the community. They enliven this forum. If it was only based on the shoulders of EA/CM the forum would be dead! They just provide the technical framework for it, that's it.
Thank you!
Agreed - the Champions are in the same boat as us and have loads of knowledge; it's just too bad the Champions seem to be constantly set up to fail. Being on the front lines of a game forum isn't easy, especially when the managing company hangs you out to dry.
I have confidence there are devs who are looking at bugs. But I'm also confident that whomever is handling the work priorities (a Product Manager or otherwise) is pushing them as a lower priority to things like seasons and getting more things into the store to monetize. What I DON'T think there are, are testers. Based on the quality of the product, my guess is that the testing being done is either automated or just smoke testing at the most. It's incredibly clear that no regression testing happened, no extensive play testing was done. That got passed on to us as the players. If there IS a testing group/agency that's being used, someone might want to rethink that relationship.
This forum is 90% Champions and players trying to help each other out and find workarounds for things. I don't expect that to change at this point.
They won't even give us a Ferrari "We are checking" response.
EDIT: I saw that a set of patch notes was posted for 1.8, which is great. But, once again, several big issues that are impacting the majority of users are not present on the list (unless they are part of the generic "various stability fixes").
- TheRagebeard6 months agoHero
@dad_brah Well someone has to be positive around here.
I too was disappointed when I started to realize patch 1.8 would probably be underwhelming just by how few things were showing up under “awaiting patch”
Based on the conversations I’ve had with Groguet all the hot items are still being worked on. Obviously it’s very disappointing and underwhelming that after 4 weeks there wasn’t anything of significance to include in a patch. I told him as much.
I don’t expect EA to suddenly change their ways, but they are well aware that 1.8 was a nothing-burger and 1.9 needs to deliver the goods.
- 6 months ago@TheRagebeard Thank you for posting this! Yeah, let’s hope 1.9 fixes many of the major issues.
I bought F1 24 to play the two player career. And I have STILL never experienced rain or even a cloud. And a few patches ago the SC disappeared too… - Nylink6 months agoSeasoned Veteran

I hope they see the sales drop as a wake-up call, and not as a reason to drop the series entirely (some may see that path as a good thing though...)
As someone who owns every CM F1 game until this one, it kinda hurts to see where it's at. I've always been a fan of CM's simcade style, as it feels fun to play, and you can invest as much as you want to. I had fun with every CM F1 game prior to this one, the demo of this one turned me off so badly I really might just skip it.
I keep coming back to the forum to see if anything changed, because I want my F1 gaming fix. Guess I should just move on, and hope some competition comes out at some point.

Totally agree, not a single raindrop since we started 2 player career. Safety Car almost never happens. Its either us crashing and doing it, or very rare red flag if an AI does that. But on Increased option its still super-rare. And there are a lot of bugs. Like 2nd player switching components after sprint race, he gets a grid penalty for a main race. Every race seeing that the other player is out of session which is not true. I get a GP message about no tyre pressure data every race. We are getting 5-7 DNFs for component exploding in season while AIs get like 1-3 at max. Sometimes a 2nd player cant change main strategy coz it gives him Softs only and he cant Add stint or anything. No GP messages for alternative strategies when your wing is damaged or wheels ruined. Its all been going on for weeks and months with no response and Im very sad about it. Trying to figure out what to do, how to report it properly, how to talk to devs, but no way to do so. Little hope for next patches but Im very sceptic already.
Yeah. 1.8 was a pointless underwhelming patch. They bettet fix the two player career bugs in the next patch. I’m fed up with no rain and no safety car.
and the no rain bug was in F1 23 too in two player career, but after driving the first season. I alerted them several times about that last year but didn’t even get a reply…
Compared to previous years these forums are a ghost town nowadays. I can see why.. Not even EA/CM are active here, only to a minimum. My guess is they’re about to end the franchise…
- Cpayne326 months agoHero
The CM’s are active here. Granted they aren’t posting as much but its because they have their hands full with all the issues. I do understand the frustrations though.
It would be really sad considering the F1 growth in the world. So I dont think they will be doing that since it's still a regularly milked cow. However, I do not understand the lack of testers, devs fixing issues and community managers activity. Sadly, it really feels like being completely ignored. Even if the issues are investigated, its impossible that it takes months and years to do so. And with almost no response from the team. Makes me sad.. :/
