I can assure you that the team definitely have not given up on the game. Some of the reported issues aren’t easy fixes and im assuming with the drs trains there may be retraining of the AI required hence why it is taking so long.

@coopa300I agree. A lot of the issues that are still present were reported in the beta phases of the game. This is what is so frustrating! Why on earth was it released in this state?
We NEED communication from the team.
- Cpayne322 years agoHero+@mattwells149852 I wish i had answer or could get answers.
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@mattwells149852 Yearly titles especially never get delayed. Dev teams are told to fix issues post launch. Reason why games don’t get delayed? Share holders and share price are king. Delaying a game reduces confidence among shareholders and share price. People that make the decisions are no longer gamers they are bean counters who only care about keeping shareholders happy every quarterly statement

It's mentioned that they haven't given up on the game? Well from most peoples perspective who don't actually get to find out properly it would appear that they have given up.
The silence and feedback after major game breaking bugs are reported is beyond poor. All we get is "it's been fed back to the team".
It's for this reason alone why people perceive that nothing is being worked on and resolved. We aren't talking small glitches here, these are absolutely gargantuan game breaking bugs, that should have been fully resolved by now.
This may come across as being inpatient, but surely after this amount of time we should at least at the bare minimum have some kind of feedback on the progress.
It's just not good enough.
- 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 Haha, I bet the shareholders are Thrilled with the decline in sales the last few years.
🤣 - ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@coopa300 Well this is the thing as Ubisoft are now discovering and only now are the board carrying out a internal investigation off their problems. Problem we have with the F1 game is it’s only a tiny part off EA. FIFA being their biggest money spinner props up all their failing games.
When Codemasters was its own company the F1 game was their biggest money spinner and only profit making game. - ScarDuck142 years agoLegend
@coopa300Also falling sales EA can blame external issues out of their control. With games being delayed would be their fault and make shareholders nervous about investing
Last (may have been the one before) quarterly conference call. There was one token question about a game. The rest were all from investment banks etc asking EAs plans for future monetisation including in game ads
Years off neglecting games and gamers in favour off quarterly statements is beginning to blowup in their faces

This. Yes. I’m finished with this company.. FC25 isn’t any better either. An underwhelming Beta product. Everything is about FUT, pitcoins, microtransactions. Pretty far from the roots of Electronic Arts. - ScarDuck142 years agoLegend
@coopa300Totally agree. But FIFA still brings in the money. I don’t mind it as a game but I only play Career as I refuse out off principle to play FUT.
i said previously that FIFA props up EAs failing games…. What I was ment to say props up their share price

Good to see it get updated today, especially with the Interlagos bug. Hopefully, driver career mode fixes are coming, it was only their most talked-about mode before release, and really hyped up all for it to be broken in October still. Can't use #1 and drivers do not retire from the sport like in past games. I believe they do in MyTeam though so it makes no sense, I'd have to test that personally.

Yes they retire in my team. Magnussen retired after one season and Russell and Albon were both dropped by their teams. Sargeant moved to Mercedes and 2 F2 drivers were promoted to Haas and Williams jn their places.
So careful what you wish for.

Looks like 1.11 comes out on Oct 14.
- cr1ngedclient2 years agoNew Scout@AEF251 well they don't in driver career and it leads to the driver market becoming quite stale. I've had active F1 drivers dropped for F2 drivers but no full retirements 3 seasons in.

@EA_Groguet Almost a month now. Any info about slipstream or something?
- IanM2822 years agoSeasoned Ace
@JanKondlerI wouldn't hold your breath, I think if they were going to improve the DRS trains they would have done by now. I do agree though it definitely needs more work. The races are utterly boring.

Its about 2 hours work to fix it
- IanM2822 years agoSeasoned Ace@JanKondler I agree, but EA would rather use those two hours to counjour up more tacky gimmicks than actually do something as useful as fixing the AI.
