Honestly, yes!!
Besides an issue with increased tyre smoke, the recent patches have genuinely improved the game a lot from the launch version.
I really don't know wether it's drastically improved handling, or if they've just patched in last year's model, or even if I've just adjusted and gotten used to it, but I'm really enjoying driving on the game now. It's not perfect, it still has some BIG flaws, but it's fun and 60% off is probably a fair reflection of the value of this game.

Although I've been quite critical of the game with certain aspects of it. I'd absolutely say yes it's definitely worth buying with 60% off.
They have improved a few of the major issues since the launch and graphically it does look excellent in my opinion.

Speaking from my experience, this is the only moment where I would consider getting it. I have pre-ordered champions edition and will never make this mistake again. I would wait till the moment the game is fixed and confirmed by users…and then get it an 60% off. As you can see, it takes 6 months after the release and a fair price is 40% of the original. Just be aware of multiple issues:
1. Ferrari engine sound
2. Tyre smoke
3. tyres degrading after 1 lap and you slide like crazy
- @Pin6all No.
The game is worse than previous editions. Its a lot more unrealistic. more than it already was. Carryover bugs since F1 2019 are still a thing. Tire smoke makes you blind when going into corners.
Handling feels like mario kart and is the worst handling of any racing game.
Patches (as they have for over 2 years now) keep making the game worse by adding new bugs.
The absolut highlight was when they said they fixed tire smoke but actually made it worse. Of course we always knew that they dont test their game but this was pretty much the final proof. Do not support EA mate! They literally do not care about the players anymore.
Online is also still unplayable with unequal cars, unfair starting lights and as i already mentioned: the tire smoke.
Ive been playing the games for more than 10 years and I can absolutely tell you that F1 24 together with F1 22 (22 might actually be better somehow) are the worst games since 2015.
To sum it up: F1 24 is nothing more than a rip-off. - SDGMatt1 year agoSeasoned Ace
I still have my xbox 360 connected to my TV along with my Series X, and I have every single F1 game from 2010-24
It's well worth picking up the older games if you can get them!
2010,12,13,17,19 and 20 were solid games!!
I challenge anyone to load up F1 2010, hear that Ian Brown FEAR theme song kick in as the F1 car revs up and not get a chill down their spine!! Especially when you see the paddock menu appear! THAT is an atmosphere that these new games lack.
They want to do "F1 World"..... Forget the gimmicks. Bring the Paddock menu back!

60% off is the absolute maximum price that you should pay for this game. So I'd say either buy it now or wait for an even deeper sale.

I tried it again last weekend through free to play.
I experienced the handling that has been fixed with several patches since the beta
It was not bad, I was able to drive smoothly and evaluated it positively.
But I drove Las Vegas alternately between 24 and 23.
I felt that 23 was a bit better.
It's not just a matter of familiarity. I bought a new series every year and this time I feel that the last version was better.
But F1 24 has changed a lot and I hope F1 25 will be better.
I won't buy F1 24 even with 60% discount and I want to save up for F1 25. - SteveJackson1 year agoHero (Retired)
Have to agree with the other comments.
Handling is not great, I personally lack confidence in it and catching the slips is very unrealistic.
But it is driveable, it has all the quirks of F1 23 that annoyed and probably some I've not yet found.
It lacks content and customisation options.
F1 25 will probably be a lot more like F1 23 and have the story mode (I liked it last time, this adds to the playability, unsure about lasting appeal though).
Not buying at 60% off but could be tempted with a deeper sale discount (against the wait for F1 25 and the beta *crosses fingers*).
I managed a league race and I really thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the game; but then a crisp sandwich is a feast to a starving man!
