champion car number 1 feature

F124 CAREER MODE CANT CHANGE NUMBER TO 1 AFTER WINNING CHAMPIONSHIP. 

Unlike previous years,after winning the championship,before starting the next/new season,it asks if I want to change number to 1. Not only is this not there anymore but, I can't change it all. Ever. No one uses 1 after beating Verstappen in 2024.

Also,way are there so little helmets?? Last year there were like 40. There are 6 in total. And will we ever be able to customize them like the actual drivers helmets? Visor colors,sponsors on helmets,names and numbers on them,etc??

I can confirm this too. However, it looks like you can still select number one in MyTeam mode, so the issue is only present in Driver Career.

I don't know. If I am not wrong, in the previous F1 games, the game gave you the option of switching to N1. The game indeed does some kind of N1 VFX on the “main screen” (when you can advance the days and enter one event)

But the game doesn't ask you if you want to use the number one.

I mean, I'm doing a Lewis Hamilton career, and even when he becomes champion in real life, he sticks with the 44, so I haven't run into this problem yet.

It would be nice if once you pick a number in customization, just like in F1 2020, the game will ask you "In Career Modes and Leagues, the reigning champion is entitled to run number 1. Do you want to switch to number 1 when it's available?"

And then whoever doesn't want that can say no, if you do want it, say yes. 

Seriously EA SPORTS, get some of the old Codemasters development staff from F1 2020. They'll show you how all things F1 need to be handled. 

I have got this issue too. Annoying as hell. Especially becausw we had this option in previous years’ games.

As the title says #1 for my driver is unavailable after winning the championship in my first season with Red Bull. It's with a custom driver, Max's number has changed from #1 to #33, but I wasn't given the option for some reason. 

It's good to know I'm not the only one. Hopefully, they see this as it's a very small change to make. I wonder if AI besides Max have the option to run #1.

Hopefully something in the next patch as this is such a small QOL change.
