Crash to desktop

All of a sudden cant do 5 laps without a crash to desktop. Game freezes, wheel turns fully to one side, pc reboots. Any ideas? Ive verified files and it states 3 files failed to validate and will be...

    @Darthsausage44 Normally the files are acquired automatically when steam finishes the validation process, not sure why it isn't behaving correctly for you, but the best course of action is probably just to go ahead and uninstall and reinstall to make sure you get a full set of fresh files.

I have a problem where the game crashes when I use flashbacks during a race or practice, and I need to restart my PC because the display stays black. It's pretty unplayable. Does anyone know how to solve it?

    @CaioMayoral I would try deleting the hardware settings file as described here. The game will generate a new file the next time you launch it.

    1. If already running, close F1 24
    2. On the storage device you have F1 24 installed, go to: Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\F1 24\hardwaresettings
    3. Delete both the hardware_settings_config.xml and hardware_settings_info.xml files
    4. Re-load F1 24

      Steam always wants to install something for me, I just don't know what. I'm asked every time I start it, it's a bit annoying. But I haven't recognized any problems with the game.
