Do we need an official handling setup guide

I have just been reading through the q and a with the lead handling dev. It occurs to me that with the added sophistication of the handling model, in light of the current situation around the early gameplay videos on you tube, maybe a more in depth release notes/manual explaining the handling model/dynamics and setup parameters is needed? Do we just have an understanding problem?

  • I feel like this would be helpful to mitigate the disaster they have brought upon themselves, it seems as though they made very seismic changes with the kinematics without realising how it affects the F1 cars, it felt too... well how can I put it nicely, smoke and mirrors, showing the axis manipulators moving the suspension up and down in the deep dive video, they could've perhaps been more transparent by running this view in real-time playing on the track showing how the kinematics worked, over the kerbs, turning left and right, how it reacts to low speed vs medium speed and high speed so we understand the direction they were going in. I really think they need to address some things upon launch, dial back the understeer, front end cannot be as pointy on default settings etc. and Opmeer's hot lap of Qatar was ugly to say the least, be it 3 seconds faster than Verstappen's 2023 pole lap. The car looked like it was drifting in each corner, very unnatural looking to be honest.

Im not convinced by all this. I think the changes make the game more realistic and harder to play and the you tubers want on on rails easy to beat 110ai for their content “championship decider” over hyped career mode series. Over on fb loads of beta players are voicing there support for 24, comparing it favourable to 23 as a step forward and disagreeing with this you tube negativity. I as others have stated now find 23 to be to simple and a bit lame after driving 24. Now im simply saying it feels like those who need views on you tube say one thing, those who dont, and have tried the beta, say another.

What you tube shows is a pre release with some ignorance around the changes, how the cars work and limited understanding of the new setups at this point.
