@TrovaMB A very good friend of mine who has been playing F1 games since F1 2012 had that exact feedback. During the beta he repeatedly told us how bad it felt for him on controller and he was contemplating cancelling his preorder but he decided against it.
When the game launched he and I spent a lot of time together working on setups and doing 5 lappers and the more he drove the game the more he began to like the new handling model.
Following the patch he's not liking the way it feels and says he'll probably retire from league racing if it stays how it is.
The reason I mention my friends experience is because I think that it makes a ton of sense and I don't want my feedback to come of as disparaging your experience because I know it's genuine and I know others that felt the same.
With how many changes were brought into the new game I can imagine many long time players initial reactions would be negative because it certainly didn't feel like any other F1 game and so its natural to have disdain given how little time you all got to actually play in the beta you also weren't really given enough time to get a feel for it or, if your initial reaction was very negative, then you may not have even wanted to keep playing.
I also agree that F1 23 felt good but I also judge it relative to what came before it. After struggling through the F1 22 game cycle it was nice to just have a game where you could get traction again.
The suspension kinematics change for F1 24 I think was a needed change since prior games sort of faked all of that stuff and it didn't feel natural at all. We of course were accustomed to it but I think any change that can bring more realism and more depth to the game is a positive.
