Effects and Types of Damage on Monoplace in F1 24

Hi, I’m looking for more details on how damage works on the monoplace in F1 24. Specifically, I’m interested in two things:

  1. Effects of damage on the monoplace: How does damage to different parts of the car, like the front wing or suspension, affect the overall performance? For example, if the front wing is damaged, how does that affect handling in corners or top speed?

  2. Types of damage on the monoplace: Which parts of the car tend to get damaged the most, such as tires, suspension, or aerodynamics? How do these damages change depending on the damage setting (Reduced, Standard, Realistic)?

I would appreciate any detailed explanations or experiences on how these damages affect car handling in the game. Thanks!

  • @PabloBono Damage model isn’t anything complex. Damaged front wing mainly effects steering, more damage less downforce so increased amounts off Understeer in mid to fast corners. Damage to Body will simply give you higher levels off instability through corners and over kerbs etc,

Tyres if they overheat or excessive wear will lose traction.

Not even sure you can damage suspension

I wish they would include more visual damage. Why does the rear wing stay visually in tact when it gets red level damage? Why can't it break off?

F1 2021 actually gave us this as a new feature before it was quietly removed in an early update.....

@SDGMatt Yeah. The visuals for damage and crashes gets less and less each year. Which is a shame. Previous years if there was a multiple car crash. Used to always looked spectacular.
