@homesvslupin You are right that it shouldnt be taken as argument to blur the issue neither was it meant by me this way. As i said in my first posts the Ferrari is clearly off and there is room for improvement for all engines but as someone who also studied audio engineering and who spent years with audio stuff i can equally argue about the comparison which i do a lot too..
The thing is you can compare 2 sources on 5 different sound systems in 5 different rooms and will get 15 different opinions even by listening to it yourself just because each individual setup promotes other differences in the waves and thus it the current Honda sound can be much better than AC mods under conditions A because the right frequencies are promoted there but under conditions B its rather the AC mod. Next thing is that to each different listener other aspects of the engine are the triggering point to gauge whats close and whats not. And then there is probably the biggest problem of the Devs not allowed to use FOM microphones audio, so they have to use a completely different source material compared to the modders on AC etc.
And just to underline this: There is plenty to improve on, especially the downshifting this year is worse, the Ferrari engine is quite off, but there are also some things better and just talking it down as total rubbish isnt gonna help and im trying to give people some more ideas on why it may sound so bad to them, not trying to say it neednt change! 🙂

Iv been to a number of races this year and i can tell you without question, the sounds of the cars in this game are not even close to the real thing. this is a huge problem for me and many others, it is enough for me not to play the game until its fixed.
Listen for yourself , what the cars sound like in the real world https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n80zq3bKaFk

It’s not quite the deal breaker for me as it seems to be for others and the Merc engine seems fine to me which is the one I have mostly used but I will say this for the Ferrari- it sounds like it was recorded from inside a helmet
