ERS and Brake Locking

Hi all

I have to say so far I am quite happy with F1 24. I imagine updates and patches will follow soon.

Is it me, of is the ERS recharging very quickly? I nearly completed at Quali lap in Australia, but spun it just before the end of the lap. My ERS had enough charge to start a second lap straight away. Surely the battery must be depleted a lot more than that?

I like the additional tyre wear when locking brakes. Quick question regarding that. Can I use a telemetry app to see which tyre I lock up in which corner? I have used SRT before, but never really gone in depth to work it all out.

cheers, P

  • This year the battery will discharge and recharge at a greater rate to make it more realistic. If you have high engine braking set this helps recharge quicker. Setting ers to none chan recharge the battery in less than a lap.

medium is a slow recharge map, similar to last year, and hotlap uses most of the laps allocation so depending on track will use more than meduim but will also recharge. Overtake dumps the battery big time and will drain it in seconds

@Darthsausage44 Cheers. I had forgotten there is a Maximum electric discharge per lap. Had seen there were some differences compared to last year.Like you can now use ‘overtake’ during the ‘hotlap’ setting. Looks like my ERS management is going to need some tweaking compared to last years game….

@peter75pcNo problem. Yep ive done a 100% race and its an intresting new element. What i was doing was setting medium or none in tight sections as your harder to pass so reduced danger and it helps with traction when tyres are worn
