Community ManagerInitial observations from this patch:
- Cars feel a little more predictable with throttle and grip, at least on a wheel. Not sure about controller.
- AI Quali pace appears to be around 3 seconds faster than race pace now, which is more true to real life.
- Engine sounds are MUCH quieter than they were before, and some sound slightly different.
- Maybe a little more framerate stability?
- No Colapinto in F1 OR F2 Career mode.
- F2 driver helmets have not been updated to reflect current helmet designs.
- The F2 driver roster has NOT been updated to reflect the 2024 roster in Career Mode. No Colapinto, no Antonelli, etc.
- Still no additions to the F1 World Store. 5 designs total for liveries, suits, and helmets (unless there were four designs before and they added one more).
- VCARB logo is still incorrect.
- Driver ratings were reverted to their previous values prior to the 1.7 patch. (How are things like this going backwards?)
Overall, not much to write home about, and is far from a comprehensive F2 2024 update. Considering this was supposed to be the "official" F2 2024 update, it's a little sad. But now I can see why the marketing team was very vague in their language about WHAT was coming in this update for F2.
The game is way behind the curve on updates and fixes at this point.
