GeneralemergencyMost of the time when the game crashes at the splash screen the issue is related to the anti-cheat not launching correctly. Unfortunately, it is a poorly implemented app that seems to frequently become corrupted for a lot of users. If you manually uninstall and reinstall the anti-cheat (instructions in link below) the issue will usually be resolved.
TheRagebeard The game isn't crashing though. It's running, just not accepting any inputs.
And I can't see it being the anticheat. Because the only time this game is on my harddrive is when there's an update. Because my game has been left in an unplayable state after an update in July last year.
And I have already had issues with the anticheat and that gets uninstalled at the same time as the game. So this is from a fresh install of both.
I appreciate the help though. It's more then what EA has given me.

GeneralemergencyMy apologies, I should have read your comment more closely, that's my bad. What type of controller are you using? If you are playing on Steam you might try enabling/ disabling the Steam Input controller mapping.
Right click on the game in your library > Properties > Controller > Select enable or disable from the drop down menu (I would change it to the opposite of whatever its currently set on).

TheRagebeard I have tried both a PS4 dual shock and Xbox elite series. Same issue with both. And both worked pre-update
Adjusting the Steam controller options doesn't resolve the issue.
