@EA_VendceraIf DRS and Slipstream are just reduced in the patch then that was just wasted time, it shouldnt change much with how wrong the AI behaves - unless the AI itself was fixed and wont magically drive a different car once in the slipstream..
All that was effectively done in that regard now was to make the game even less realistic.. Maybe one should have just taken the * and retrained the AI with proper dirty air so that the game gets more realistic instead of more arcady, it will still not fix online qualifying where you just seek the slipstream..
Of course there might be more detail to it but just as written it wont fix it.
@roberto9663as i said above, its not the right solution to nerf DRS and slipstream, thats just the wrong way to approach it when the downsides like engine and tyre temperatures and downforce loss in dirty air are ridiculously too little in the game while DRS and slipstream where the most realistic they ever were

Absolutely useless update. Alpha industries who cares about this absolutely utterly meaningless nonsense!
We need helmets and more race wear.
Do you actually listen to anyone at all?
What a complete and utter shambles!

@Meza994 Ok so you think we have still drs trains and no chance to break out front of a train? That's not good. What's your solution?
- 7 months ago@roberto9663 Ive tested it with halfed DRS and slipstream and the result was at Jeddah 2.5 DRS trains.. barely 3 but with a bit different first lap it could have been just 2..
First we should wait for the patch to go live as the AI behaves so unlogical in some stages and not every tiny detail is mentioned in patch notes so it could have a bigger impact.. Also tested with no DRS or slipstream at all and there the trains were splitting apart, however thats not what we want..
My solution from the start would have been properly realistic downsides from following another car, 10+°C engine temps so you lose a bit of horsepower while following another car + 20-25% downforce loss while following another car and all of that working the same for AI as for player would be how it should have been from the start and probably the most realistic game ever in that regard - even Assetto Corsa mods etc. dont do dirty air anywhere near as extreme as it is IRL

@atfmarkoCant connect either for the past half hour or so
@1_Elipsis_1 You really cant make this statement, certain physics are broken like when and how the grip breaks, not the overall dynamic and the game should always be quicker than real life, even in iracing the W12 which is most likely the closest representation of an F1 car to date can be over a second quicker than real life was, so many factors that allow a virtual version to edge some more time out but yes there have been some valid and needed nerfs to pace previously
