@IanM282 I feel exactly the same, way too much grip. Maybe we should drive with Medium TC? Do you tested it?
@roberto9663No I haven't tested medium TC as yet. I was mainly referring to too much grip from the front end. For me it initially felt like too much grip and front end downforce. However after more extensive testing I'm now not so sure?
I think because the steering inputs are completely out of sync to what the car is doing and turn in was so sharp and responsive, I felt like there was too much downforce. But I've now discovered a load of understeer mid corner, so not so sure now.
The steering definitely requires some rebalancing.
Full TC for me is now perfect on controller and back to how it was in 22 and 21.
- 8 months ago@IanM282 Its not the downforce thats too much, tyre grip drops off too little especially at the front, with those extreme steering inputs it should go into understeer and thus less sharp turnin. And generally the cornering speeds are rather in low/medium speed wrong than high speed, high/medium speed is more downforce and low/medium speed is more mechanical/tyre grip. Just decreasing the downforce would make corners that are flat irl not flat ingame but in slowspeed theyd still be quicker than IRL

@Meza994Actually yes you are absolutely correct. I've only started playing the game a few hours ago so still trying to understand the handling in more detail.
I think the really sharp turn in can faulsley make you think you have too much downforce, but having tested it further there is a lot of understeer that soon follows after the initial sharp turn in.
Definitely needs more work, doesn't it.
- 8 months ago@IanM282 I agree. The steering inputs do not feel natural. The middle part of the wheel feels way too sensitive and twitchy. It's pretty annoying and very difficult to be smooth with steering inputs.
I spent some time testing changes to the steering lock and linearity. Bumping up the linearity seems reduces sensitivity in the middle and helps with the initial false feeling of grip leading to understeer in a corner. While I feel like I have improved the feel, I haven't found a setting I'm completely happy with yet.
I also feel like I have to brake a little sooner than I did in 23 just to avoid the understeer and get on the power at the apex.- IanM2828 months agoSeasoned Ace
@HansenhausAgreed, the steering inputs are miles away from being anything but compliant.
I too am also experimenting with the steering rate, lock and linearity.- 8 months ago
i set my steering linearity to 40, steering rate to 160, and steering saturation is 50.
Might be too sensitive for some.
