@NuvolarixHmm.. i hate to be this person but im not very optimistic about the career mode changes..The most promising thing seems to be the changes to the contract system..Driver ratings are just some weird way of leveling your recognition by using a metric of how you fare in the races - looks like - also still no race pace for ratings it seems🙄Recognition is just the new acclaim which is now supposed to be vital for everything you want to do, so perform well and everything will go well in time..Especially those new perks just look like a new presentation of old, the same old bonuses you get in a slightly different way but basically - play the game and you will unlock them in time unless you perform horribly wrong..Specialists seem very low depth to me, like its really just a different cover of the same old bonuses just like the "simultaneous upgrades perk" its the upgrade time reduced and possible the upgrade costs reduced? Cant currently imagine them making the PU components actually cost money as they didnt say a single word about the cost cap so money wont play a role..Rivalries? Yeah no, very loud noises for another "here you got some acclaim" unless there is far more to it then is known yet, nothing deep, nothing special besides tracking the progress between 2 drivers and getting a "recognition" reward for it.. mehNot gonna mention accolades😂And last but well last.. The mid race objectives.. Burn some fuel.. Oh dear🙄 so your target can be burning fuel/ruining your engine by overrevving.. I hope the other objectives are better..I know i sound horribly pessimistic, its just that a rework of career mode had so much potential, there were so many good suggestions, many worked out ideas from all around and yet to me it feels like a new cover for the same old basics and mechanics.. except for maybe contracts but we will see how much depth these things actually have and how much the gameplay differs from the old mechanics

Wow! Who is this guy? If you were around in the codies forum days you would know we have been feeling the pain for years. With it going downhill year after year, just trying to paint over the cracks.
EA taking over has made it worse unfortunately.
us old timers know better than to buy into their marketing gimmick and youtube fanboys promoting the next copy and paste.
i honestly dont see any reason to buy this installation over something like F1 2020. Especially if the rumors about no modding on PC are to be true.

@ajobling1983 I may not have been on the forums, but I've been playing CodeMaster's F1 games since 2010, so I'm well acquainted with the ups and downs of the franchise. Apparently, my optimism seems to get under a lot of people's skin, but I just don't see the point of giving up on a game a month before it even releases.
Will F1 24 be everything we ever wanted? Probably not, but I do believe it will be better than F1 23. If you want to take a pass and stick to F1 2020, that's your choice and your more than welcome to do so. It also sounds like you'll have plenty of company from other people doing the same.

@ajobling1983 For me there are actually plenty of advantages IF 24 works as its promoted over 2020.. However no modding would suck hard - i doubt that though, probably needs another update to the EGO archiver, still same engine, i really cant imagine they changed it so much so that it will remain impossible..

But way better feeling on controller (at least in 23), deeper setups, much more accurate tyre temp behaviour than 2020, at least better contract system and more things im not counting now, it has its advantages for me personally IF it works properly.. Thats a lot of ifs for such a heavy price tag so its totally understandable that others might feel its not worth it!

@mariohomoh I don't play the career as a software doesn't have unpredictability but over time a repetition of things and it's also impossible to do otherwise.....for me I should fight for an online career of 20 players with failure modes, developments etc where each of us He has different ideas and would have to shuffle the cards every time.. already if they have really made the sensation on the track dynamic and not the usual preset I consider it a significant step forward
