f1 2024 PSvr2
Formula 1 2024 MUST come with PSVR2 availability. GT7 is definitely a game changer for lovers of speed and racing simulators. The Formula 1 category is by far one of the most modern sports categories...
It doesn’t have to be just about profit. You have an official F1 license to make a game of the highest levels. You have to do it with the most advanced elements like F1 is in reality. PlayStation is increasingly an important market in racing simulation. Let's think about GT7 and F1 and the best proof is Fanatec with now several PS compatible products. There are even 2 bundles exclusively for GT7. They have just launched an F1 - PS bundle. I believe that the arrival of EA changed the philosophy of Codemasters, profitability above all, developing for as many platforms as possible for greater profit. I think they are on the wrong track!! Looking at the comments about F1 pre-orders, 95% of users are not going ahead with F1 24 because there is nothing new! It doesn't matter if you do VR, PSVR2 would have been a shockwave that would have shaken things up. Too bad if PSVR2 is not supported with F1 24, after purchasing all the F1, I did not join 23 and as long as there is no VR for PS I will not go back ! I do not encourage mediocrity.
@Meteore yeah, that's my feeling. I'm sure there is profit from adding PSVR2 support. I don't know the cost for adding in PSVR2 support, but seeing as it's already supported on PC, I'd have thought it would be cheaper than starting from scratch.
I was looking into when Codemasters brought out Dirt Rally VR. Original PSVR had sold about 800,000 headsets at that point, which is below the number of sold PSVR2 headsets currently. So it's not like we're below a certain number of headset sales that could trigger developer support for PSVR2, unless it's different for this latest headset.
I also read that F123 sales were 47% lower than F122 at launch, so the series could do with a kick, which something like PSVR2 support could bring. Are the current sales figures for F123 out there? I tried looking, but only saw something about them hitting the 200,000 mark. There are 1.2 Million PSVR2 owners out there apparently for comparison.
