F1 24 Collision rules

When racing against Ai or real people, warnings or time penalties are given for collisions. 
However, why should we receive a penalty when someone negligently collides into our vehicle.

I know it’s possible to input some codes that would detect which vehicle crossed into the other vehicles boundary.  It would need to be based off the driving line since that is the default path for Ai. 
Just a thought, it be nice for some kind of equality
