F124 Performance Predictions

So after 3 races (i think that is enough time) i think i have a better idea of where the teams will rank in terms of career mode. My ranking is below:

1) Red Bull (no doubts there)

2) Ferrari (again no doubts)

3) Mclaren

4) Mercedes

5) Aston Martin

6) Haas

7) RB

8) Williams

9) Alpine

10) Kick Sauber

it was close between Haas and RB personally as well as with Alpine and Kick. Yes Alpine had a bad start in Bahrain but they do look better since then

Mercedes will be 3rd, perhaps even 2nd. Previous season's WCC standings weigh significantly more than any current blatant pecking order for Codies.

For realistic performance though I'd rank 9) Sauber 10) Alpine. Sauber has mangled their races and Alpine has salvaged Sunday miracles. They'll more likely fix their staggering wheel nut issue faster than Alpine can fix their wagon and organization.

Yes agree with you on the merc side. I imagine it will be very close though. I was torn between alpine last and sauber 9th best but i looked at overall results and not the tyre nut issue. I hope they fix that for Japan

  • @Cpayne32 Last year didn't they basically just copy-pasta the standings from the previous season without any regard to the actual performance of the current season, that's why AMR chronically underperformed. Anyway, since driver career is supposed getting a major overhaul I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they don't do that again.

Lets hope they don’t have a repeat then. Or maybe they need to invest into their personnel to reduce the likelihood of it happening 😂

@Cpayne32 you mean Sauber and their pit stop woes? Oh it has nothing to do with personnel. At least not directly.

Their wheel guns and nuts were speced based on their winter testing. Turns out they did not account for the temperature difference between their cozy testing parameters and real season temperatures. So darn old thermodynamics is having a field day with their guns not nutting their nuts correctly on race day.

The gear with the corrected specs is expected to be produced and available soon™

It was a reference to my team where you could buy upgrades to reduce the likelihood of pit stop issues

@mariohomoh I'm dying laughing reading the last sentence of your second paragraph. There're so many jokes I want to make, but most of them would probably be considered inappropriate and result in me getting demoted so I'm going to hold my tongue, but golly gee whiz is that one heck of a sentence.
